Appearing on the Kelly Grant Show, a program so influential it can’t even be found on Google, Don Jr.’s fiancee made yet another ridiculous claim about the case against her soon-to-be father-in-law.

The former Fox News regular claimed that Democratic leaders should be disqualified from holding their various positions for simply believing that the mugshot taken of Trump after his Georgia arrest would hurt his chances in the 2024 election.

That wouldn’t be unreasonable to think, either. In a sane world, voters would see the kind of legal trouble that Trump is in as a major red flag against voting for him. This isn’t, unfortunately, a sane world. In fact, Guilfoyle’s host called the mugshot “biblical,” “unbelievable,” and “the best thing in the world.”

His media supporters can say things like that because they know that Trump’s crowd doesn’t vote based on politics, but rather on a desire to see liberals get hurt. It is literally their only concern. How else do you explain the millions that Trump raised immediately following the release of the picture?

Well, besides the fact that he had it printed on stickers, t-shirts, and coffee mugs, along with other merchandise.

Guilfoyle herself could only see numbers as a result of the mugshot’s release:

“It’s better than 2016, it’s greater movement and momentum than 2020, you can see the Emberson poll, which is very credible, has him up 5 points nationally over sleepy Joe Biden when including a third-party candidate like [Cornel] West. Not only is he holding the base, but he’s growing the movement, which is very important because I’d love to see him get 15 million additional votes than he got last time.”

Guilfoyle shared a clip of her obscure interview with Grant on her Instagram page, along with an interesting caption:

Democrats designed the mugshot to embarrass Trump. The mugshot backfired on the Left in the form of surging donations, rising polls, and new supporters. No picture, indictment, or trial date can take down the 45th and future 47th President.

So it’s possible she didn’t mean that Democrats “designed” the shot, but rather fostered the opportunity for it to happen in the first place, thinking it would harm Trump’s chances. That’s been Team Trump’s argument all along — that all of the cases against him are an effort to keep him out of the White House for a second term.

But Democrats had nothing to do with him getting a mugshot taken. Perhaps he shouldn’t have committed all those crimes.
