Marjorie Taylor Greene is Apparently 12-Years-Old, Vows to Pronounce Fani Willis’s Name Wrong So People Think of a Butt

I guess it's funny if you're stupid.

Remember all the fun Republicans had with mispronouncing Barack Obama’s name? Ooh, and then what a laugh riot it was when they did the same with Kamala Harris? I wonder why conservatives never seem to have trouble with white people’s names.

Whatever the case may be, Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Greene has promised to continue the storied legacy of acting like a jackass on purpose just to disrespect someone.

The DA who entered one of the four indictments against Donald Trump is also from Georgia. Fani — pronounced fah-NEE — Willis is the one responsible for getting Trump booked into the Fulton County Jail on multiple state felony counts.

Greene knows how to pronounce the woman’s name.

Nevertheless, she held an “emergency town hall” just a few days ago and invited her audience to instruct her on how to say it. One genius supporter yelled out “Big Fanny Willis!”

Now, I take umbrage at this particular taunt, because I have a blue and white moped named Fanny (because my moped is, in fact, a fat-bottomed girl, like the Queen song).

Greene thinks she can call Fani Willis Fanny just because “we’re in the South.” No, congresswoman. That’s not how it works.

But Republicans have been at this for a long time, mostly with black women. With the exception of Obama, in fact, it’s been almost exclusively black women they’ve done this to.

Former GOP Senator David Perdue (ironically also of Georgia) did it when he pretended to be confused by the Vice Presidential then-candidate’s name in 2020, calling her “Kamala-mala-mala-whatever” at a Trump rally.

Greene herself continuously mangles Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Jackson Brown’s name, as well as Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

She even did it with a Supreme Court justice, Ketanji Brown-Jackson:

Don’t get it confused, ladies and gentlemen: This is straight-up racism. Every time you see a Republican purposely messing up the name of a black woman with any position of power or authority, it is racism. They are playing to their racist base.

It’s not just disrespectful, though. It’s downright stupid. It’s one of the most vulgar ways a preteen could come up with to make fun of someone. And they think it’s hilarious.
