Trump Pardoned Jared Kushner’s Father and It Appears Charles Kushner Just Paid Trump Back

Donald Trump has been plowing through his money at an astonishing pace because he is swamped with legal bills that he’s amassed since he’s dealing with four indictments. He is seeking huge donations in the hopes of replenishing his shrinking coffers.

One recent contribution is raising eyebrows because there could be ethical implications involved, Yahoo! reports.

So what’s causing the concern? Well, Jared Kushner’s father, Charles, recently donated $1 million to Trump’s Make America Great Again Political Action Committee (PAC), and yes, in some political circles, this is raising a few eyebrows. Jared is, after all, married to Ivanka Trump Kushner, and dear old Dad Charles was pardoned by Trump after serving only two years in federal prison for making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering.

Gee, maybe Trump sees himself in this scenario. Who knows? Oh, and Chuck was also disbarred from practicing law in three states: New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

There isn’t “any law directly prohibiting the recipient of a pardon from making a huge political contribution to benefit the politician who issued the pardon,” AbovetheLaw.com reports, adding that there is something rather questionable about the donation. By donating the $1 million to Trump, it looks almost as if Charles Kushner is “paying for a pardon.” In a time when there’s a lack of trust in the government that’s problematic.

It’s more than likely that Trump won’t discuss the issue because he needs all the money he can get as his upcoming trials loom. But this is definitely a shady move by Kushner and it creates a moral dilemma that, according to Yahoo! is not likely to be addressed as he enjoys a new life post-pardon. Simply because his son maintains close familial ties to the former president. Kushner once again wields power and privilege, all because he’s rewarded Trump for pardoning him during one of his final executive orders as president.

So it’s really not surprising that people don’t trust the government when you see an outgoing president do things like this. Trump pardoned an awful lot of horrible people, Mike Flynn and Roger Stone, just to name a couple.

I’m glad Trump is hemorrhaging money. It’s the only thing he loves and it’s what he deserves.
