2024 Election

Trump Wants Barron to Join Campaign, Melania Says ‘Over Her Dead Body’ and Is Considering Moving Back to NYC

There may be an epic battle brewing between Donald and Melania Trump over their only son Barron because the former wants the 17-year-old to walk the same path as Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany, and the latter certainly does want him to do that.

One insider reports the former first couple have been “at war” over this idea for weeks, OK! Magazine reports.

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, the source said that Donald, 77, “believes it’s time for his son to accept his legacy and get involved in his public life, like his older siblings.” And Melania is “seething with fury” after Trump posted a photo of young Barron, who’s rarely seen in public, on social media in an attempt to take a swipe at President Joe Biden.

“He has always believed, despite Melania’s wishes, that Barron would walk in the same footsteps as Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany,” the source explained. “But Melania has again made it very clear that’s only going to happen over her dead body.”

Melania, 53, has been absent as her husband’s legal troubles deepen, and the source said she’ll probably continue to remain out of sight as the former president hits the campaign trail, as she allegedly ponders moving back to New York City.

“That would be devastating to Donald,” the insider said. “With all the negative swirling around him, the last thing he needs for his public image is another broken marriage.”

Perhaps it might have been a good idea to figure all of this out before he caused all the problems he’s currently in. Just saying.

But public relations expert Jane Owen told one news outlet that the former first lady may be preparing a future without Donald.

“If I was Melania’s friend or her publicist I would be advising her to keep her distance as well,” Owen said. “The easiest thing to justify is the lack of something. She can say she was with her child, doing charity work, busy with literally anything and no one can fault her for it. Donald himself is not going to draw attention to her absence as a negative thing. So it’s the easiest option.”

“On the other hand the negative repercussions of being involved in scandals and prison sentences and all the craziness that is a day to day of the Donald Trump situation right now, are so many it’s impossible to count,” she added. “There’s also a very strong possibility that it all gets much worse for Trump especially if he doesn’t win the next election. If I was her I would be planning an escape route from the whole situation.”

But what’s absent from this discussion is the fact that we don’t know what Barron thinks of all this. He will turn 18 on March 20. 2024. Hopefully, he won’t follow his step-siblings’ paths and forge his own way. Obviously, the other Trump kids, save perhaps Tiffany, have had their share of legal problems and I’m sure Melania wants Barron to be able to avoid this. He has a long life ahead of him and maybe he’ll be the first member of this family to do something that benefits others instead of himself.

Maybe anyway. If mom Melania splits from his father, she should still do fine. She’s made an art out of grifting, after all.
