‘He’s a Dirtbag Person’: Matt Gaetz Is Having Serious Problems as Constituents Start to Turn on Him

Rep. Matt Gaetz lucked out when the Department of Justice decided not to charge him in a sex trafficking investigation but now it looks like he’s awakened another dragon, of sorts.

The Republican congressman from Florida, who’s already good at making people hate him, is making even more enemies after successfully partaking in the ouster of Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker earlier this month, and as a result, Congress is an even bigger mess than it has been over the past few months.

Way to go Matt!

Now his constituents are highly p*ssed off and speaking out, Queerty reports.

“He’s a dirtbag person,” said Florida resident Chris Smith, talking to CBS News earlier this week.

“He does what he does to get on TV,” observed Aaron Mayer, who lives in Pensacola and usually votes for Republican candidates.

There are still plenty of voters who support Gaetz and his train-wreck style of politics, but that may change abruptly.

Gaetz has angered enough Republicans in the House and the Senate and they are out for blood — and are hoping to smear him so successfully when he runs again in 2024, he loses.

Oklahoma GOP Sen. Markwayne Mullin in an interview with CNN last week implied that the reason none of Gaetz’s Republican colleagues came to his defense when the now-infamous teen sex scandal broke in 2021 was because the reports were credible and added that Gaetz is a POS and wanted zip, nada, zilch to do with him.

Mullin also had some rather, um, interesting comments about alleged X-rated videos of Gaetz that have been floating around D.C. for years.

“There’s a reason why no one in the Congress came and defended him: because we had all seen the videos he was showing on the House floor — that all of us had walked away — of the girls that he had slept with,” Mullin alleged.

Ugh.

“He would brag about how he would crush E.D. medicine and chase it with energy drinks so he could go all night. This was obviously before he got married.”

How disgusting.

Twitter X users freaked out because they really DO NOT want to see Matt Gaetz. Neither does anyone else, for that matter. These folks fear that Republicans might leak the alleged videos online, just like they did with Madison Cawthorn’s gay face-humping video which pretty much destroyed his 2022 reelection effort.

We can rejoice that something good came out of that ugliness.

Republican Rep. Mike Lawler of New York, added further fuel to the fire, blasting him on CNN earlier this week, saying he is “frankly a vile person.”

“He’s not somebody who’s willing to work as a team,” Lawler said. “He stands up there. He grandstands. He lies directly to folks.”

In the past, Lawler has also called Gaetz “disgraceful” and said he should be expelled from the Republican conference for his behavior.

“They don’t support our party,” Lawler added, “it’s all about media clicks.”

To Republican Rep. Don Bacon (Nebraska), who talked to CNN earlier this week, Gaetz and his fellow obstructionists “kicked us in the shins really bad” thanks to their anti-McCarthy shenanigans that came mere days before the tragedy in Israel. Congress is completely unequipped to deal with this awful situation.

Then there’s Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), chair of the House Rules Committee, who told Axios that Gaetz and his cronies need to be reined in.

“I think it’s time to take the sharp knives away from the children.”

Of course, there’s also an ongoing Ethics Committee investigation into his 2021 teen sex scandal (likely including the X-rated tapes) and Republicans have threatened to expel Gaetz from Congress if any evidence of wrongdoing is revealed.

“No one can stand him at this point,” one source told Fox News last week. “A smart guy without morals.”

So this is one time when Republicans may be doing something good. If they can get rid of Cawthorn, they can also get rid of Gaetz. By being largely responsible for ousting McCarthy, Gaetz may actually find himself being removed as well.
