Americans Disgusted Over Trump’s Day One Plan to Put Migrants in Giant Detention Camps if He’s Elected

Donald Trump has always been a racist Islamophobe, so why should he be any different now? And if he gets his wish and wins a second term as president next year, he’s planning to become more of an autocrat than he was before.

The once and hopefully (not) future president is plotting what surely looks like a reign of terror on immigrants — including rounding up undocumented immigrants and keeping them in large detention camps, where they will be forced to stay until they are expelled from the country, according to a report, per The New York Post.

Trump, the current leading candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination plans to deport millions of people, several advisors told The New York Times.

Immigrants who have crossed the border since President Joe Biden took office wouldn’t be the only ones targeted. Trump’s plan would even include those who have resided in the U.S. for decades.

This nasty plan would drag a series of regulations he’d introduced during his presidency back into action. This includes a ban on people from a number of Muslim-majority countries. It would also introduce new policies that would streamline the deportation process, The Times reports.

Trump, who’s now 77, plans to deputize local police and National Guard troops volunteered by Republican-led states to assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in rounding up undocumented immigrants, according to sources.

Those unfortunate enough to get caught would then be placed into newly built, massive detention camps that would be erected to take some of the pressure off of the ICE facilities Trump hopes to fill to capacity.

And of course, Trump has a workaround if Congress refuses to approve this massive operation. He’d just redirect Pentagon funds just like he did with his border wall during his first term.

The Biden-Harris campaign has issued a statement bashing the purported immigration plans, criticizing them as “extreme, racist, cruel policies” that are “meant to stoke fear and divide us, betting a scared nation is how he wins this election.”

Over the past several years, the number of immigrants entering the U.S. has swelled and it’s become a focal point for Republicans and Democrats alike.

Trump has repeatedly said he plans to quell the crisis at the border, having pledged last month that he will reinstate the ban on migrants entering the U.S. “from terror-plagued countries” if he wins reelection. So then is he going to kick out the swelling tide of domestic terrorists we have here?

“If you’re coming from somewhere full of people who want to kill Americans, we will not let you in,” Trump said while speaking in Clive, Iowa.

“We aren’t bringing in anyone from Gaza or Syria or Somalia, Yemen or Libya, or anywhere else that threatens our security,” he said.

He has previously called for “strong ideological screening of all immigrants” and for the forced deportation of illegal immigrants who are believed to have “jihadist sympathies.”

This is truly sad and disturbing because many immigrants, whether they are from the Middle East or “Bad Hombres” from Mexico or anywhere else, are fleeing hellish situations where they face death every day. Especially as the war between Israel and Hamas continues to claim so many lives.

But then Trump has always been a disgusting racist, so what else is new?
