Trump Lawyer Alina Habba Thinks She’s All That: ‘Just Because I’m Pretty Doesn’t Mean I’m Not a Brilliant Lawyer’
It’s got to be hard to be the least popular person on the least popular team in the world. But once you bring Donald Trump into the mix, you know it’s got to be someone especially detestable.
Enter Alina Habba, Trump’s Assyrian-American lawyer and the senior advisor for MAGA, Inc.
She is representing Trump now in the $250 million fraud case in New York brought by Attorney General Letitia James. She must be doing a bang-up job, too, considering she’s already gotten a partial summary judgment entered against him and somehow forgot to specifically ask for a jury trial in the case.
Habba, who is quite attractive, met Trump when she became a member of his Bedminster, New Jersey golf resort. There are many who speculated that Trump hired her entirely because of her looks. However, the always-humble Habba responds to those rumors with a brush-off: “Just because I’m pretty doesn’t mean I’m not a brilliant lawyer.” She actually said those words to the New York Post.

Hint: She’s not.
Trump continues to give her glowing reviews, which is perhaps what fuels the speculation that he hired her because of her physical appearance. By all accounts, Habba is a terrible lawyer and even the rest of her legal team representing Trump himself doesn’t particularly like her.
In a Daily Beast article from last year, we already knew that the Trumpworld legal apparatus thought she was incompetent at best and had actively screwed things up at worst. One of those lawyers, still unnamed, said “‘What the fuck is she doing?’ is probably the most common question we asked about her.”
What the speculation has turned to lately, however, is the Habba may be filling a role in Trump’s nid — someone like Rudy Giuliani or Sidney Powell — but with a much prettier face.
He’s gone on and on about how good she looks on television, and he loves the contrast with the fact that she litigates like an attack dog.
The fact is, she’s made countless appearances on right-wing networks to complain about how the legal system is unfair to conservatives. That in and of itself is probably enough to make Donald Trump a fan for life.
Now couple that with the fact that she will tell Trump anything he wants to hear, and you’ve got a legal ticking time bomb.
