If Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential intentions don’t get interrupted (by a prison sentence, perhaps) it looks for all the world like this will be a tight race between him and President Joe Biden. But all the world is telling Biden to prevent Trump from winning. Presumably, Biden will do the best he can to keep the orange one out of office (we hope).

When he attended a fundraiser in Philadelphia, Biden, 81, said people at every global summit he attended begged him to prevent Trump from winning, the Associated Press reports.

“There’s not an international event that I’ve attended — not one — where the rest of the world doesn’t come up to me — leaders, no matter what country they’re from — and say, ‘You can’t let him win. You can’t let him win,” Biden reportedly told his audience.

Hopefully, Biden will kick out the jams because a spate of recent polls shows Trump overpowering rivals for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination next year, with support from as many as six in ten Republican voters, according to The Independent. Another poll, released Tuesday, showed Trump with 51 percent of folks likely to vote in the Iowa Caucus on January 15. This is the official start of the 2024 presidential campaign.

This means Biden and any other Democratic presidential nominees had better get cracking.

Biden showed up in Philly for a fundraising event that was attended by about 100. Earlier, he announced new federal funding for the city’s fire service. And while he was on hand he said that the USA is “the essential nation,” (whatever that means) and that international outrage would erupt if Trump becomes president again.

But the sad fact is, recent polls show the fascist wannabe Trump as beating or being tied with Biden, and this even includes key swing states Michigan and Georgia.

This is not good news.

The fact that Trump is still doing so well among GOPers despite multiple criminal investigations against him, where prosecutors have alleged he falsified business records, mishandled classified information, and illegally interfered with the electoral process shows the true nature of Republicans and it’s a sad shame.

The Democrats look pretty anemic to me so far. I haven’t seen enough of them coming forward. If Biden wants to win, he best get out there and hit the campaign trail. Philly was one stop. He needs to do bunches more.
