People Are Disgusted by Lara Trump’s Newest Grift — Even Trump Supporters Are Calling Her Out

Does Lara Trump think she’s Barbie? It sure looks that way considering the stupid and overpriced pink hat she’s been wearing. It even bears the iconic Barbie font, with MAGA across the front.

She’s selling the Pepto-Bismol colored had for $47 online — and folks are furious over the price.

Lara Trump, 41, served as a campaign adviser for the former president after marrying his son Eric Trump in 2014, with whom she has two children. Before joining the Trump campaign, Lara Trump worked as a television producer, Newsweek reports.

Lara dressed up as MAGA Barbie (haha cutesy) for Halloween. It was a hit among the smooth-brained Trump supporters who asked her to sell it online. But these unwrinkled-brained people are not happy with the price of the cheap crap silk purse/sow’s ear cap.

Posting to X, Trump told her followers that they too, could “be a Trump girl, in a Trump world” by purchasing the Pepto cap.

This led X user Ron Filipkowski, the editor-in-chief at MeidasTouch.com to share his post on his own account and quipped: “$47. The hat costs $47.” People were quick to vent their anger at the price. Really, the price is ridiculous. This is pure grifting and greed.

X users weren’t having it.

“Retailing a cap for $47.00 when the manufacturing cost are less than $1.50. While MAGA supporters claim they can’t afford weekly groceries!” one person noted.

“$47 DOLLARS??????? You can buy those for about $9 bucks in Midtown Manhattan from a street vendor,” another said.

Another added: “$47 is a small price to pay to be able to announce to the world that you’re a complete idiot.”

Some notable X users had opinions too. Keith Olbermann, host of The Countdown podcast noted rather aptly that Lara Trump might have picked the wrong movie to base her hat on.

What was most surprising is that Trump supporters commented on Lara’s original post, and they are pretty furious as well:

Some folks aren’t bothered about the hat being sold, though they may not have seen the price tag as yet. Of course, Lara Trump also posted about the hat on her Instagram, where some of the smooth-brained said they “loved” the Pepto hat.

“I love the pink hat,” one simian said. Another commented: “Lara u are Beautiful I want a hat like that love Trump.”

A spokesperson for Lara Trump told Newsweek earlier, that “Lara had a fun Halloween with friends. Both Barbie and the MAGA hat are cultural icons.”

Well, yes, Barbie, for good or bad, is an icon. But Lara? Not so much. Her nasal rendition of Tom Petty’s I Won’t Back Down, while it apparently did hit the charts, is a reminder of this. She sounds like White Girl, Interrupted. Or at least she should be interrupted whenever possible.
