Trump Co-Defendant Spills Shocking New Details About December 2020 Oval Office Meeting: ‘There Was Zero Hope’

Even when it was clear there was no way Donald Trump was going to win the 2020 presidential election, he clung desperately to every last straw that he imagined was dangled in front of him. Now that’s become even clearer since Trump’s Georgia co-defendant Kenneth Chesebro has revealed shocking new details about a meeting in the Oval Office in December 2020, RadarOnline.com reports.

This surprising development comes after Trump and 18 others were indicted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis earlier this year. Now it’s been revealed that Chesebro spoke to election crime prosecutors in Michigan in connection with a similar case.

Chesebro formerly served as Trump’s lawyer, and he has also pleaded guilty to the election fraud charges against him in Georgia last October.

We have CNN to thank for obtaining the tapes Wednesday, where Chesebro can be heard telling Michigan prosecutors about the alleged advice then-President Trump was given during the December 2020 meeting in the Oval Office meeting.

The meeting was held shortly after Trump’s loss to Biden, and that’s when the then-president and his advisors began grasping at straws. Every possible angle was discussed during the meeting to see if his devastating election loss could be salvaged. Guess these people never heard the one about beating a dead horse.

“It’s clear that [Jim] Troupis personally told the president there was zero hope for Wisconsin,” Chesebro said regarding Wisconsin lawyer Troupis and Trump. “As part of this message, I think, crafted to try to get him to concede or just you know, give up this long-shot challenge.”

“So, there was a conscious effort to deflect him from a sense of any possibility that he could pull out the election,” he said.

Yeah, but Trump is a man who never takes “no” for an answer when he wants something. Those of us who don’t want to see him win a second time are painfully aware of this.

Perhaps this is why further discussions went on. Chesebro also referred to a conversation on the 2020 results in Arizona and the possibility that the state could be flipped in Trump’s favor despite Biden’s win there. Obviously, Trump was trying to get his way come hell or high water.

“I ended up explaining that Arizona was still hypothetically possible because the alternate electors voted,” Cheseboro told the Michigan prosecutors in the tapes. “And I explained the whole logic.”

“Because the alternate electors had voted, we had more time to win the litigation,” Chesebro explained. “So, it was, I think, clear in a way that maybe hadn’t been before that we had until January 6 to win.”

This turned out to be all for naught, fortunately, and near the tail-end of the tapes we hear Chesebro and the Michigan prosecutors discussing Chesebro’s advice to Trump regarding Arizona. The state usually runs deeply red, but things didn’t go Trump’s way, which warms the cockles of my little ol’ heart, it truly does.

Even so, Chesebro admitted he created “optimism” regarding the possibility that Arizona could flip in Trump’s favor. Apparently, Reince Priebus was allegedly called in to do “damage control” over the dangerous Oval Office discussion.

“Right after the meeting, Troupis said that Reince Priebus was extremely concerned with what I told the president about Arizona and the real deadline is January 6, and that he was going to do damage control, Reince was going to follow up,” Chesebro said.

“And, I mean, I was trying to mitigate whatever optimist I guess I created,” he concluded.

This news arms special counsel Jack Smith with even more valuable information.

I’m sure he won’t mind.
