Americans Disgusted After Former World Leader Says ‘Creepy’ Trump Was in ‘Awe’ of Putin, ‘MY HERO!’
A lot has been written about Donald Trump’s dealings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and I’ll have to admit I don’t really understand the relationship between these two. What I do understand is that Trump seems to like dictators. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think it’s because he wants to be one. Like I said, I could be wrong.
But when Australia’s former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was interviewed recently, he more or less corroborated this. Specifically, he noted that the former president acted like “a 12-year-old boy in awe of his hero whenever he met Russia’s Vladimir Putin,” The Independent reports. During an interview on Australian broadcaster ABC’s Q+A, said the idea of Trump returning to the White House is a terrifying threat to democracy because he so readily embraces dictators.
“He is attracted to dictators and tyrants like [North Korean leader] Kim Jong Un and [Chinese President] Xi Jinping and he threatened to undermine or pull out of America’s longest standing alliances,” Turnbull said, in reference to Trump’s recent threat to pull out of NATO.
Turnbull, who was in office when Donald Trump began his time at the White House in 2017, noted he refused to bow to Trump’s pressures to “suck up” to him, as other leaders did.
Both men led overlapping terms as leaders, and Turnbull notes he had seen Trump with Putin from time to time.

“When you see Trump with Putin, as I have on a few occasions, he’s like the 12-year-old boy who goes to high school and meets the captain of the football team. My hero!” Mr Turnbull said, saying Trump’s apparent reverence for the Russian President was “creepy”.

Turnbull, who left office in 2018, disagreed with his successor Scott Morrison, who claims Trump doesn’t pose a threat to Australian security if he wins in 2024.
“What if Donald Trump forces Ukraine to surrender to Putin? What if Donald Trump pulls out of NATO? Donald Trump has threatened to pull out of NATO,” Mr Turnbull explained. “Donald Trump stood up in front of an audience and he said to an unnamed European leader, if you don’t spend more money on defense I’m going to encourage Putin to have a go at you. That’s more or less what he said.”
The former prime minister also explained that Australia would have to understand that the United States no longer shares all of the same values as were common a few decades ago. He added that while Trump is “not a warmonger,” but is instead an isolationist.
“The scary thing is that for countries like Australia and many European countries, we may find ourselves not dealing just with two autocracies in Russia and China, but what is Trump’s America going to look like?” Mr Turnbull asked. “This is a guy leading a party that is no longer committed to democracy as we understand it.”
The world is entering another frightening time. Humans seem to be so good at this. We’ve been on the outs with Russia for decades, and leaders in both countries are to blame for this, we’re facing additional problems with North Korea and China and there are daily tragedies in Palestine that the U.S. has done little to stop. War is madness and the human race needs one giant intervention that’s never going to happen.
Trump is a monster but he’s merely a cog in a wheel that never seems to stop turning. And you know what the funny thing is? When I was a child I’d watch a scary movie and think, “I’m glad this awful creature doesn’t exist in real life.” But I was wrong. It does exist, only it’s called Republicans, Democrats, Capitalism, corporate greed, evangelists, the National Rifle Association, and far too many other cancers for me to mention.
Americans were rightfully disgusted:
I wish Republicans here in the US could see what your former Prime Minister – and many other world leaders – clearly see. But the Republican Party is completely in the grip of Donald Trump, and Trump is firmly in the grip of Vladimir Putin and Russian interests.

Thank you, Prime Minister Turnbull. 100% true. I have noticed on several Trump/Putin meetings that Trump appears to have the body language of a pre-teen who has just been scolded as he follows behind Putin. Putin smirking, of course.

Putin is Trump's hero. Trump looks up to Putin as a strong leader and wants to be like him. Trump is running to be President to stay out of federal prison. If he wins Trump will bring an authoritarian presidency to the United States. No

Has anyone ever seen Trump happier? https://t.co/QE2tnPNmZJ
