MAGA Candidate Says He’s Worried About Babies Who Might Get an Abortion

Seriously, Senator?

Bill Eigel is insane. Let’s just lead with that.

Despite the fact that Donald Trump doesn’t even know that Kansas City is in his state, legislator Eigel is a hard-core Trumper. Even after the last time the Chiefs (of MISSOURI) stomped the 49ers in the Super Bowl and Trump tweeted “Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game, and a fantastic comeback, under immense pressure. You represented the Great State of Kansas and, in fact, the entire USA, so very well. Our Country is PROUD OF YOU!”

But it’s not a football reference that’s got us thinking of Bill Eigel today. It’s the fact that the state senator, who is running for governor of the state, thinks that the amendment written by a Democratic state senator, Doug Beck, to the state’s draconian anti-abortion law, would allow one-year-olds to get abortions.

That’s insane.

After the story became public of a ten-year-old who was forced to flee Ohio to get a post-rape abortion, Beck penned the amendment that would make it legal for “children 12 and under who have been victims of rape or incest” to get an abortion despite the laws in Missouri.

During debate on the amendment, Eigel said “You want to bring back the institution of abortion so that kids can get abortions in the state of Missouri. A 1-year-old could get an abortion under this.”

“I don’t know that a 1-year-old could get pregnant, senator,” replied Beck.

Republicans in Missouri have been staunchly against any exceptions, even for rape or incest, because “God does not make mistakes,” according to state senator Sandy Crawford.

Now, Eigel is not alone in his insanity. Apparently, all Republicans in Missouri are crazy. Countless videos exist of them burning books, pretending to burn books, or otherwise opposing the “woke agenda.”

No, seriously:

From a report in Meidas Touch News:

A campaign to get a citizen referendum on the November ballot to legalize abortion in Missouri recently announced they had raised $3 million for their petition signature gathering efforts, toward a $5 million goal. The referendum would restore Roe v. Wade constitutional protections for abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, with the ability of state lawmakers to regulate abortion after that period.

Who knows if the insanity will win the day, or if more even minds will succeed.
