Trump Is Showing ‘Gross Signs of Dementia’ Psychology Expert Claims, ‘Biden’s Brain Is Aging, Trump’s Is DEMENTING’

If you think former president Donald Trump is having more trouble talking, you’re right. He is. No one has to be a mental giant to figure this out. He speaketh fluent word salad. And mental health experts are saying, due to his slurred speech and real problems with constructing whole phrases, he seems to be developing dementia.

Speaking to Salon, Psychologist Dr. John Gartner, formerly of Johns Hopkins University Medical School said he believes Trump has shown signs of mental deterioration that are strongly linked to dementia.

Gartner, who contributed to the 2017 book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President, and he’s kept up with the progression of the ex-president’s mental deterioration and has made it his business to let people know what’s going on. He’s bluntly warned that Trump is “showing gross signs of dementia” and said that other experts aren’t pointing these warning signs nearly enough, Raw Story and Inquisitr report.

Gartner explains that as Trump gets closer to obtaining the Oval Office again, he becomes more dangerous every day. Speaking to Salon’s Chauncey DeVega, he said, “There is also this focus on [President Joe] Biden’s gaffes or other things that are well within the normal limits of aging. By comparison, Trump appears to be showing gross dementia. This is a tale of two brains. Biden’s brain is aging Trump’s brain is dementing.”

That’s also been of concern to many former Trump staffers, including Sarah Matthews, who told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki why she’s voting for Biden in the clip below.

In the Salon interview, Gartner explained that Trump shows signs of degenerating mentally by exhibiting phonemic paraphasias during his rally speeches. The psychiatrist pointed out this is “the substitution of non-words for words that sound similar—are not normally seen until a patient enters the moderate to severe stages of Alzheimer’s.”

And he demonstrated some symptoms of this condition.

“Some examples of Trump’s non-words: Beneficiaries becomes ‘benefishes.’ Renovations become ‘renoversh.’ Pivotal became ‘pivobal.’ Obama became ‘Obamna.’ Missiles became ‘mishiz.’ Christmas became ‘Crissus.’ Bipartisan became ‘bipars.’ This is a fundamental breakdown in the ability to use language. If you were talking to your father on the phone and he did this you would think he is having a stroke. There is no healthy older person who speaks that way.”

In the clip below, MeidasTouch’s Boston Brian points out more of Trump’s mental struggles — and I have to admit they are pretty bad.

Gartner also referred to Trump’s habit of going off-topic when addressing crowds.

“Trump also engages in what we call ‘tangential speech.’ He becomes incomprehensible when he engages in free association word salad speech that is all over the place. Again, that’s a sign of real brain damage, not being old, not being slow, not losing a step not being, but of severe cognitive deterioration,” he explained.

While Biden is being criticized for forgetting names, which isn’t unusual for elderly people, Gartner explained that Trump is “forgetting and combining people,” not just mispronouncing names.

“I don’t understand why those clips aren’t replayed over and over in the mainstream media,” he said, clearly puzzled, “Isn’t Trump babbling incoherently the most newsworthy part of his rally? You can be sure it would be if it were Biden.”

Gartner has also examined other behavioral aspects of the former president, including his narcissism.

“Donald Trump has absolutely no loyalty to the country. There’s a perverse way in which I think he takes pleasure in destroying America,” he said.

When Biden misspeaks it’s clear he’s merely doing something completely normal for older people. Trump shows physical and mental signs of decline. But his mental decline is of serious concern because he’s slipping away while being a dangerous man who, if he becomes president, will continue to promote racism and outright fascism, a man who is far too close to this nation’s nuclear codes. The worst thing Biden does is accidentally get someone’s name wrong on occasion, but Republicans are running with this because they want Trump back in office. And the Democrats for reasons I don’t understand, aren’t putting Trump’s obvious problems on blast. They are seriously falling down on the job.

To our detriment.
