Donald Trump was up all night raging on Truth Social, and now he’s back at it, screaming about how he’s a victim as the deadline approaches for him to secure a bond for the nearly $500 million he owes in order to appeal his New York fraud case. He doesn’t have to secure the bond to appeal, but without the bond New York AG Letitia James can start seizing Trump’s assets.

Trump raged into the dead of night and then again early in the morning about his impending deadline to raise the $460 million fraud appeal bond, now claiming he has the cash in an ALL CAPS rant that makes no mention of him actually paying it.

There has been a lot of wild speculation about how Trump will pay the bond to appeal payment of the fraud judgment that could cost him in excess of $460 million if appeals are unsuccessful. The deadline for that bond, if the appeals court doesn’t intervene, is Monday, March 25th. He was able to secure a $92 million bond from Chubb Insurance for his appeal in his case against E. Jean Carroll and the rumor was he expected Chubb to underwrite the $460 million one as well. But Chubb isn’t that stupid, and passed on giving Trump the $460 million bond, along with over 30 other companies.

But, according to Trump, he has the cash on hand. Yep, that’s what he said in an early-morning Truth Social post in which he repeated attacks against the normal players and made no mention of paying the bond with that cash.

Trump started with this delusional post, saying, “THROUGH HARD WORK, TALENT, AND LUCK, I CURRENTLY HAVE ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN CASH, A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF WHICH I INTENDED TO USE IN MY CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT. THE OFTEN OVERTURNED POLITICAL HACK JUDGE ON THE RIGGED AND CORRUPT A.G. CASE, WHERE I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG, KNEW THIS, WANTED TO TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME, AND THAT’S WHERE AND WHY HE CAME UP WITH THE SHOCKING NUMBER WHICH, COUPLED WITH HIS CRAZY INTEREST DEMAND, IS APPROXIMATELY $454,000,000. I DID NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT WIN AN ELECTION IN 2016 THAT I WASN’T EXPECTED TO WIN, DID EVEN BETTER IN 2020, AND NOW LEAD, BY A LOT, IN 2024.THIS IS COMMUNISM IN AMERICA!”

But he wasn’t done. The consummate victim then said, “NO TRIAL, NO JURY, NO CRIME, NO VICTIM, ONLY A CROOKED JUDGE AND A CORRUPT, TRUMP HATING ATTORNEY GENERAL, WHO TAKES HER ORDERS DIRECTLY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. ELECTION INTERFERENCE AT A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!!”

On Wednesday, Trump attorney Alina Habba raised eyebrows when she was asked if Trump is seeking financial help from foreign countries, and she didn’t exactly say no. Trump critics question whether the former president and adjudicated rapist might secure the funds from an outside source, such as Saudi Arabia or his buddies in Russia.

“Well, there’s rules and regulations that are public. I can’t speak about strategy; that requires certain things, and we have to follow those rules,” Habba told Fox News’s Martha MacCallum on Wednesday.

“Like I said, this is manifest injustice. It is impossible. It is an impossibility. I believe they knew that,” she continued, referring to the bond amount.

If this doesn’t make Trump a national security risk, I don’t know what does. Trump wouldn’t be able to get a federal job or security clearance and something like this said by someone during a background check would ensure it wouldn’t happen.
