Was Melania Trump a Mail Order Bride? Lots of People Seem to Believe So (Including the Associated Press)

Could there be anything worse for an “All-American” president like Donald Trump than to find out he’d married a mail-order bride? It’s hard to imagine something that would put more of a strain on the former First Couple’s image.

But an astute social media user discovered an ad seeking a husband, and it appears it’s from Melania, back when her last name was Knauss.

Sure, that could be a good job in Photoshop. But when combined with this AP article — the Associated Press being one of the most trusted names in news — it sure looks legit.

From the article:

“Trump has always stated he met his wife Melanija at a fashion week party in 1998. But Anna Novak, a matchmaker who operated an office in Slovenia for several “Mail Order Bride” companies, including a company called A Foreign Affair, says she received a call sometime around 1995 from the head office to help arrange a call between a female member Melanija, and A VIP client she only knew as Donald.”

And “affair” is the operative word here. As with his first wife, Ivana (the mother of his three oldest children), his involvement with another woman came while he was still with the previous one. In this case, he was cheating on his second wife Marla Maples (mother of Tiffany) when he met Melania.

Trump had met Maples while he was still with Ivana, who is now buried on his Bedminster, NJ golf course.

Whether Trump would ever cheat on a wife that he allegedly paid for is unknown. But during countless appearances and interviews, Trump has insisted that Melania is the only person in the world who can influence his decisions.

He once told Howard Stern, whose show he appeared on innumerable times, “We literally have never had an argument, forget about the word ‘fight’. We just are very compatible. We get along.”

While all of this is, of course, still speculation, it sure would explain a lot. It would give some insight into at least two things. First, Melania’s “mysterious” nature — refusing to appear in public and being cryptic when she does. And secondly, what it might be that she holds over him.

If Melania were to expose Trump as a guy who needed help from an agency to find love, it would definitely sink his political career. But then, any news is good news for Melania.
