Trump Is Reportedly Taking ‘Full-On Bonafide Naps’ in Courtroom — Looked Close to Being in Full REM Sleep

Okay, okay – on this one, we’re not going to be so hard on Donald Trump because everyone ages (Or at least, everyone I know), and as people age, their energy saps.

It is the same with Donald Trump, who may or may not (We don’t know) be medicated during the trial. He wouldn’t be the first.

According to Ben Meiselas of Meidas Touch, a “source” has told him that Trump is taking “bona fide naps” during the trial.

Well, that is better than yelling at the judge about his daughter… Or just yelling at the judge. There have been appeals of convictions based on the fact that a defendant slept through critical portions of the trial. Still, it seems unlikely that an experienced and respected Judge like Merchan would allow Trump to attempt such a ploy or just fall into it without noticing.

It puts the “bona fide nap” claim into a bit of perspective. Closing one’s eyes for 30 seconds and nodding off is one thing. Having your head against Alina Habba’s shoulders for 30 minutes while snoring is quite another. One would constitute nodding off for a wee bit, one would be a “bona fide nap.”

But some think they see a problem here:

Let’s try just a bit of speculation.

Trump is most animated when he’s in charge. For example, he “charges” out of the courtroom to hold his mini press conferences (statements), and he doesn’t appear to be the least bit tired. He is fired up. He looks “out of sorts,” to be sure, hair all knarled, but really – that’s not the issue, it’s his energy level.

He also finds his “on” button late at night when posting on Truth Social when – again – he’s in charge and can rant and rave about the injustices put upon him. The “late night” thing may contribute to the sitting in the courtroom “thing.”

Either way, unless he falls into a deep sleep during serious testimony (We are talking for more than two to three minutes), this will not be an issue. Some are convinced it is.

Dunno. I haven’t been 77, and there’s no guarantee that I will ever be. But if one gets to that age, it is no surprise that one’s energy level won’t be what it used to be. Sitting in a courtroom all day can’t be too exciting, even when it’s your first criminal trial.

He will be wide awake during Michael Cohen’s testimony. One can bet the house on that.
