It was inevitable that Donald Trump would try to mock Vice President Kamala Harris now that she’s the presumed Democratic contender for the 2024 presidential election. The former president mocks anyone he views as an opponent, so this is nothing new. His ego is large enough to make him think he can challenge her to a cognitive test.

Sometimes a chihuahua will challenge a Doberman and we all know how that’s going to turn out, and we know that if this is really serious it’s not going to go well for the chihuahua.

I’m not suggesting Harris is a Doberman, but mentally she can blast the former president right out of the water while she’s sleeping. Trump is making feeble attempts to mock her. He pulled this stunt during the National Association of Black Journalists conference earlier Wednesday, mocking her for failing her first California bar exam, Mediaite reports.

Then someone asked Trump if he would “consider taking a cognitive test,” and he replied, “I would love to do it.”

“And making it public?” came the follow-up question.

“Well, I’ve already taken two of them, but I’ll do it again,” Trump fired back before insulting Harris.

“I said, Joe [Biden] and I will go and take a cognitive test. Now, I’d do it with her [Harris], too. I would do it with her also. You know what? She failed her law exam. She didn’t pass her law exam, so maybe she wouldn’t pass the cognitive test,” said Trump.

“I’m just giving you the facts! I’m just giving you the fact!” shouted Trump as the moderators jumped back in. “She didn’t pass her bar exam, and she didn’t think she would pass it, and she didn’t think she was going to ever pass it. And I don’t know what happened — maybe she passed it.”

ABC News’s Rachel Scott, who sparred with the ex-president during the convention corrected Trump, who is generally allergic to truth and logic.

“She did pass it, she did pass it,” Scott fired back.

And indeed, Scott is correct. Harris failed her first bar exam but passed it on a second try and was admitted to the bar in 1990, a year after she graduated from law school. California has a notoriously difficult Bar exam and many fail on their first attempt.

I can predict what’s going to happen if Harris debates Trump: She’ll trample him and leave him in the dust. Her campaign team claims he’s afraid of debating her. I fully believe he is. He knows how he did against Biden in 2020, and Harris has a functioning brain and lots of moxie.

Now that Harris is running I’m looking forward to the election for a change.
