2024 Election

People Are Asking Sarah Huckabee Sanders About Her Quick Weight Loss — Was it Ozempic or Surgery?

Did she or didn’t she? A newly svelte Sarah Huckabee Sanders showed off sizable weight loss at the 2024 Republican National Convention and that set wagging tongues to wondering if diabetes drug Ozempic is the reason why.

While she’s definitely thinner, she’s still the same ol’ Huckabee Sanders. This means that the Republican Arkansas governor couldn’t resist firing potshots at President Joe Biden. After all, sometimes a garbage dump is called a landfill but it’s still really only a garbage dump. Huckabee Sanders may have lost weight but she didn’t lose her mindset.

As she spoke, she joked that she brought her son to work with her and compared the situation to the aging president and first lady, RadarOnline reports.

“Jill now drags Joe to ‘Bring Your Husband to Work Day,'” she quipped.

Did she forget about her former boss the Tangerine Scream?

Sanders appeared to be half her size since leaving the White House in 2019 when she spoke at the 2024 RNC.

At least one medical expert shared her thoughts on all the speculation over the Republican governor using weight loss drugs.

“Without knowing Governor Sanders’ personal medical history, as I do not have an established doctor-patient relationship with her, I can’t comment on whether or not she has lost weight and if so, what tools she utilized to do so. While semaglutide is commonly used for significant weight loss, it is an effective medication to treat many conditions,” said Obesity Medicine Physician Jennie Stanford, who also contributes to Drugwatch.

“Evidence also supports the use of bariatric surgery to treat obesity and improve other chronic medical conditions as well,” she added.

Huckabee Sanders hasn’t commented on the rapidly spreading Ozempic rumors, but she may have been spurred to lose weight after dealing with serious health problems since leaving the White House in 2019. In 2022 she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. In a statement released by her campaign, she announced:

“Today, I underwent a successful surgery to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes and by the grace of God I am now cancer-free. I want to thank the Arkansas doctors and nurses for their world-class care, as well as my family and friends for their love, prayers, and support.”

But as the video of her speech circulated online, users lambasted her and accused her of taking the popular weight-loss drug.

Sanders showed off her weight loss in a figure-hugging red off-the-shoulder dress.

X users posted such sentiments as “Ozempic is doing what Ozempic does. Too bad they don’t have Ozempic for faces and personalities,” “Sarah Huckabee Sanders needs to lay off the Ozempic. She looks like s**t.”

Well, hey…she looks like that whether she’s on it or not.

And others had a few thoughts, even as early as last May.

Huckabee Sanders may not understand that being thin doesn’t necessarily make you beautiful when you’re completely reprehensible. She’s a terrible human being who hates people in the LGBTQ+ community, who governs a state that is mired in poverty that she has done NOTHING to resolve. I don’t care how much weight the woman loses, this will always hang heavily on her. When you are the governor and you make the lives of your constituents harder instead of easier, it makes you ugly no matter what.
