Trump Introduces Barron at His Florida Rally as if He’s Third in Line to the Throne, ‘Welcome to the Scene, Barron!’

Ugh, I had high hopes for Barron Trump, but alas, it appears he’s going to be a Trump like the rest of them. Donald Trump introduced his 18-year-old son Barron at a political rally “for the first time” during the criminally convicted former president’s return to the campaign trail on Tuesday night.

Barron, who sat in the front row, stood up and waved to the crowd and pumped his fist after his father introduced him and other members of the Trump family during his rambling 90-minute remarks from his Doral resort in Miami. Trump joked that his youngest son is “more popular” than his sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump. How nice.

“That’s the first time he’s done it,” Trump said from the stage. “He might be more popular than Don and Eric … Welcome to the scene, Barron, I don’t know. He had such a nice, easy life. Now it’s a little bit changed. Special guy, right?”

Barron Trump, who graduated high school in May, has largely remained out of the way of his father’s political blitzkrieg, because apparently Melania wouldn’t allow it. A then-9-year-old Barron was hesitant about leaving Manhattan for the White House when Trump was elected president, and he attended schools in New York, Florida and Maryland in the years that followed.

Before a jury convicted him, Trump convinced the judge overseeing his hush money trial in New York to briefly adjourn so he could attend Barron’s graduation ceremony in Florida.

“A very young man who’s now going to college,” Trump said on Tuesday. “Got into every college he wanted to and he made his choice. And he’s a very good guy.”

Trump says that Barron has “made his decision” on which college to attend. While Barron has remained silent, speculation about his educational future has been mounting following his graduation from high school in May. The former president previously claimed that Barron was “very sought after” by colleges.

During the rally near Miami, Trump introduced all three of his sons to the crowd, saying that it was “the first time” that Barron had ever attended a rally, while teasing his future in college.

The former president was seemingly caught off guard by the crowd rising for a standing ovation when he began to introduce his youngest son, saying, “Oh, look at this!”

A very young man who’s now going to college,” Trump said while continuing the introduction. “Got into every college he wanted to and he made his choice. And he’s a very good guy, I’ll tell you … He’s a very special guy, Barron Trump. This is the first time he’s ever done this.”

Now whether Barron got into every school he applied to, we will never know. If that’s the truth, he’d be going to Harvard, because Trump loves Harvard and the fancy Ivy League schools.

“Barron, it’s good to have you,” Trump said. “Welcome to the scene, Barron. I don’t know. He had such a nice easy life, now it’s a little bit changed.”
