There are some who still believe that Donald Trump could win this election. The number is dwindling, but even most Republicans have now given up on the White House at this point. Many want to focus on keeping Kamala Harris in check with a GOP-controlled legislative branch.

That’s probably a decent strategy for them.

After all, the polling before Joe Biden left the race was deeply in favor of Trump, and after the Democratic switch to Kamala, it swung HARD back to the side of the Democrats. She’s clearly very popular.

But there’s a strange phenomenon happening in this campaign. Trump has a clear path, a logic he could follow to at least make sure he retains all of his faithful and converts some moderates or undecided voters.

He could simply appeal to their conservative preferences.

After all, Kamala is to the left of Joe Biden, and always has been. She was added to the ticket with Joe to win over voters from the 2020 Democratic primary that were unhappy that the Dems had gone back to a “mainstream” candidate instead of someone a little more revolutionary.

Trump could use that to point at how “extremist” she is… Even though she’s nothing of the sort.

But instead of triangulating politically, pointing out the “far left” things that Kamala might do if elected, Trump’s just letting his anger get in the way of any rational decisions. It has to be clear to everyone by now that he’s ignoring political advice from his handlers.

He is saying the most ridiculous stuff.

His anger at her surge in popularity is dominating his mind. Watching her rallies get as big as, then BIGGER than, his own rallies has pushed him to a breaking point. And some Republicans say that he could be headed for implosion.

The evidence is all there.

He’s been claiming that her appearances have been sparsely attended. When confronted on that with photo evidence, he’s said that the photos were created with AI. When shown video evidence that prove him wrong, he’s doubled down.

Before that, he went on an unhinged rant about Joe Biden planning to stage a coup at the Democratic National Convention, to snatch the nomination back from Harris.

The man is unwell.

He is most definitely at risk of having a complete breakdown, and the GOP knows it. They would do well to either shut him up somehow, or sit back and watch as his campaign collapses.
