2024 Election
Rosie O’Donnell Speaks Out About Trump’s ‘Serious Mental Crisis’ and Her Thoughts Might Surprise You
Over the years, Donald Trump has been quite cruel to Rosie O’Donnell, something that Megyn Kelly noted during a primary debate in 2015. She noted “You’ve called women fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals. Your Twitter account has several —”
“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” Trump interjected, raising a finger.
Trump’s comments about O’Donnell weren’t lost on Hillary Clinton, his presidential opponent in 2016, and she revisited Trump’s comment above. His response? “Rosie O’Donnell, I said very tough things to her and I think everyone would agree that she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her.”
So it’s very touching that O’Donnell, who watched his disastrous interview with Elon Musk, where he slurred plenty of words and acted plain bizarre, has expressed sympathy for the former president’s obvious problems on her TikTok page, according to Queerty.
But in a new clip she posted Tuesday O’Donnell, the beloved comedian, television producer, and actress, shared her enthusiasm for Kamala Harris’s campaign. She also expressed concerns about Trump, noting he appears to be “in some serious mental crisis.”

She’d watched clips of the ex-president’s chat with Musk, “who I do not enjoy,” she noted, and told her 2.4 million TikTok followers that Trump’s cognitive abilities are beginning to appear quite similar to the ones President Joe Biden, 81, has displayed.
“Joe Biden went up there on the debate and there was so much missing from his cognition … You know, sundowning happens to people that age, around that time, they get slower, they need more sleep,” she explained.
When Biden announced his intentions to drop out of the 2024 race, O’Donnell called him a “true patriot.” And she has trouble understanding why Trump’s family won’t help him as he continues to fumble during speeches and rant on social media.
I don’t understand why they aren’t getting involved either, but that’s just me.
“Surely, Ivana or Ivanka, whatever your name is, surely you see what’s happening,” she said, addressing the camera and Trump’s eldest daughter.
“Can you get him some help? Seriously. Should he really be running for office in this state? Do you think this is the best for him right now at the age that he’s at — trying to stay awake at things, calling people the wrong name?”
Not to mention that he has the nuclear codes at his fingertips. I think that’s cause for worry.
But later in the video, O’Donnell showed herself to be a much bigger person than Trump. Even after the difficult history she has shared with him and his cruel comments. That’s pretty amazing really. She admitted his obvious struggles made her feel “sad.”
“I know people might find that surprising, but it was sad to me,” she revealed. “We see the crash that’s about to happen. Everybody in the world sees it. He’s spiraling. It’s very obvious what’s happening.”

And if Rosie is empathizing with this man, you know he’s not doing well.
But bless her heart, she couldn’t resist giving him one good smack, however, describing him as “the most corrupt president in American history,” because um…you know, that’s completely true. Also, like the rest of us, she expressed gratitude that Trump is “not in the White House right now.”
And she joked that she has an appointment with her therapist so she can unpack those “sad” feelings.
I suspect that whatever happens with the 2024 election, we’ll all have a lot of unpacking to do. I don’t know about you but I’m tired of being stressed out every four years.
Enough already.
If you’re wondering how bad Trump’s interview with Musk is, well here you go:
