Trump’s Losing His Mind AND His Cool: Blows Up at His Top Donor Causing His Campaign to Clean Up His Mess

He just can't keep his mouth shut.

Most people, when they need other people’s money, either suck it up and kiss their butts, or they hang on to their dignity and look for other funding. That’s what makes the most sense, anyway.

Not for Donald Trump.

Trump prides himself on being able to say anything to anyone he wants, anytime. And apparently that even includes Miriam Adelson, widow of  Sheldon Adelson, who was Trump’s biggest bankroller.

Maggie Haberman, the legendary New York Times reporter that’s had more access to Trump than any other reporter in history, told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about a testy exchange between Trump and Miriam.

Apparently he accused her via text of staffing her “Preserve America” political action committee with RINOs, or Republicans In Name Only. He thinks that PAC is run by people who haven’t kissed up to him enough.

Haberman said that “One of the people running it is Governor [Greg] Abbott of Texas, as advisor, [and Miriam is] saying he’s not a RINO, saying her husband never would have tolerated it. This caused a lot of concern that she was going to scale back her giving. Her advisors found out that Ike Perlmutter, the former chairman of Marvel Entertainment, who is a Trump ally and is involved in a different Super PAC, had been [setting] up these attacks against her,” she said. “It’s a mess, and it’s a mess that the Trump world would like to not be dealing with.”

The reason for the outburst, Haberman explained, was that Trump’s “anger is seeping out,” and it’s causing “erratic behavior that people around him are seeing during times of stress.”

Former President Donald Trump awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Dr. Miriam Adelson on Nov. 16, 2018.

Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, told Fox News a different story: “He’s in a great mood. I mean, he just got shot a month ago, of course, and you wouldn’t know it seeing or talking to the guy. But I think he feels extremely confident about how we’re doing in the election.”

That’s definitely not what the rest of us are seeing.

Not that Vance has any room to talk in a conversation about Sheldon Adelson. Recently revealed texts between Vance and noted antisemite Chuck Johnson show the would-be VP dismissing the casino mogul (who passed in 2021) for not having contributed to his own campaign: “I’m pretty sure he gave me sh*t. He’s dead. Don’t care.”

I guess neither of them does.
