Body Language Expert Says Melania Was Lying When She Laughably Said That Donald Was a ‘Family Man’

The hits just keep coming, and her memoir isn't even out yet.

Melania Trump is, for better or for worse, all over the news again. Ever since she announced her new memoir, the appropriately-titled Melania, the former first lady has been releasing ads and doing interviews in support of it.

Her latest was on Fox, with host Ainsley Earhardt.

This comes at a time when Melania hasn’t really been known lately for her public persona. At least, not on the campaign trail with her husband. But that didn’t stop her from doing her wifely duties and saying all kinds of nice things about the former president.

We thought, in fact, that Trump was going to have to finally read the book himself. He admitted recently that he hadn’t delved into it yet, claiming he just hasn’t had time. But he told his audience that Melania had BETTER have said good things about him in it, or he’d tell everyone to stop buying the book.

Earhardt’s interview was relatively wide-ranging, for a “friendly” piece more designed as a promotional spot than an actual question and answer session.

And while we don’t know what good things (or bad) she may have said about Donald in the memoir, we do know what she said in the interview. And so does Traci Brown, a Certified Speaking Professional who examines body language for clues as to whether someone is telling the truth or not.

One part of the interview in which Melania was asked what she wished the world knew about Donald struck Brown as odd in its delivery.

Melania’s answer was that she wished  everyone could see “That he is really a family man. He loves his family, he loves this country, and all he wants [is] to build better.”

Traci Brown felt that Melania’s body language was saying something very different than what was coming out of her mouth.

First, a shrug from Melania while saying “family man” was a red flag for Brown. Then, as Melania said that all Trump wants is the build a better America, she shrugged with both shoulders.

Earhardt and Melania did revisit the part about loving the country, as well. When Ainsley asked Melania to sum up her husband in just a few words, Mrs. Trump said “Caring. Caring especially for this country.”

Brown picked up on an entirely different “tell” from Melania this time: “We see her eyes go out left into constructing info. That’s what we’d expect for having to come up with something on the fly.”

“Constructing info” is the delicate way of saying “making sh*t up,” in case the gentle tenor of the statement misled you. And besides, Ainsley, come on! This is basic detective show stuff. If a suspect averts their eyes to the left while answering, they’re telling you a lie.

One of the only things in the interview, in fact, that Brown said looked like truth coming from Melania was the answer to what the couple likes to do together. “I do think that having dinner is their favorite activity. She seems congruent,” said Brown.

That stands to reason. It’s pretty clear that Donald is most comfortable with food in his mouth, although he’s been known to throw tantrums even while eating here and there.

But then it was right back to Melania saying one thing and gesturing another.

“American people need to decide what they really want. Maybe some, you know, strong tweets, but everything else great for this country,” said Melania of her husband’s term in the Oval Office.

Again, Brown’s spidey-senses tingled as she watched Melania shrug again, and then even shake her head side-to-side — not nodding, but gesturing “no” — as she said the line.

But that too stands to reason. There’s no way that Melania could say any of that without feeling contradictory to her own anti=bullying campaign; Trump was, during his entire term, the biggest bully in America. It’s not like his wife didn’t know that.

And for that matter, it’s been more than a few “strong tweets,” as she put it so gently.

Trump has threatened people, including witnesses in cases against him, sitting members of Congress, and private citizens. He’s told endless lies. He’s insisted that things already proven untrue were absolutely true.

In short, according to this body language expert, not only is Melania lying about the myth of mirth in the Trump household — or White House — but she knows she’s lying, too.

And with tells like that, it seems like she really doesn’t like having to lie, and is doing so under duress.
