There’s almost nothing I look forward to more in this campaign than the next new Lincoln Project ad. Sure, I love the official Kamala campaign ads, and the snarky tweets from KamalaHQ on X.

But for my money, nothing beats a bunch of old white Republicans who don’t hate Trump for his politics. They hate him for his personality. The Lincoln Project is made up of Never-Trumpers who can’t stand the idea of a man in the Oval Office making policy that they might otherwise agree with look like it was written by a kindergartner.

The newest LP spot is the best one they’ve done in a long time. Remember, these guys got a lot of practice even while Trump was actually in office from 2017 to 2021. But 2017 was a long time ago, and Donald Trump has changed as a target since then.

It used to be that they could just make fun of some dufus mistake that Trump made, or a foreign policy faux pas or something, complaining that a buffoon was leading the nation.

And they took many a swing at Trump over his racist, sexist, and xenophobic talk and behavior.

Now they’re on to the same attacks that Trump tried to use on Joe Biden before the current president left the race and endorsed his vice president as his successor.

As always, the ad features a series of clips of current and past events involving the president and his friends and enemies. It’s almost funny that those are all that’s necessary to make a skewering ad like the ones they churn out.

Donald Trump is a broken man. Terrified of Kamala Harris. Shaky, scared, weak – he’s a chicken. Limp, old, tired, and impotent. He’s lost his edge, his mojo, all that power he once had. And he knows the end is coming.

The final days of his campaign are nothing but a sleazy, desperate grab for cash, and nothing more. He’s hiding from Kamala. He won’t debate her – he knows what happened last time.

If Trump can’t even face his political opponents, there’s no way he can stand up against Vladimir Putin, Iran, and ISIS. And there’s never a chance he’d stand up for you.

Maybe the thing that I love the most about the Lincoln Project is that these are not campaign videos. There’s no way in the world Kamala Harris could get away with an ad that says all of this. And she doesn’t bother, because campaign videos are designed to entice the viewer to vote for or against a candidate.

These are not. They’re just straight-up brutal honesty. This ad isn’t going to convince a MAGA voter to vote for Kamala instead. No, it’s made, like all their videos, for two reasons: To act as a hype video for people who already don’t like Trump, and for one other guy to see them and get mad. Donald Trump himself.
