‘It’s a MAN!’: Nancy Mace is TERRIFIED of Incoming Trans Congresswoman, Has a Full-Blown Meltdown During Interview
She's losing it.
South Carolina congresswoman Nancy Mace was once known as a rare Republican who supported LGBTQ+ equality. In fact, back in 2021, she even cosponsored the Fairness for All Act, a bill that would have ensured transgender equality while maintaining religious freedom.
She said at the time, “I strongly support LGBTQ rights. No one should be discriminated against. Religious liberty, gay rights, and transgender equality can all coexist.”
Nancy has clearly shifted her position since then, possibly to align with the incoming administration.
But Rep. Mace didn’t just change her mind — she changed her entire demeanor upon the election of America’s first openly transgender member of Congress, Sarah McBride of Delaware. In advance of the upcoming Congress that will be seated at noon on January 3rd, Mace introduced a resolution specifically targeting the Representative-elect to prevent her from using the women’s restroom anywhere on Capitol grounds.
It’s actually ironic that Rep. Mace should be so stridently opposed to people she considers males being in all-female spaces, when she forced her way into The Citadel, an historically all-male military college and became the very first woman to graduate from the school. We commend her on her past.

But in an interview the Scripps’ Liz Landers, she came close to losing her mind on the subject.
Mace was already very contentious with Landers when the anchor brought up the fact that she’s been so single-minded about the bathroom issue, since there are so many other pressing issues to face, including layoffs at a Boeing plant right in her district.
Mace may still have felt a little tender about the fact that MeidasTouch.com editor Ron Filipkowski pointed out just how laser-focused she was in a pretty embarrassing tweet:
Nancy Mace has now made 126 posts in the last 24 hours about the bathroom in the Capitol.

Whatever the reason, when Landers interrupted Mace’s tirade to correct her after she misgendered McBride numerous times, Mace exploded.
LIZ LANDERS: I just want to add that the congresswoman elect does identify as a woman. I will be referring to her in that way–
REP. NANCY MACE: She’s not a woman! It’s a MAN! She was born a man! She’s a man! She is biologically a male. That is science.
You guys on the left in the mainstream media want to say “follow the science.”
Let’s follow the science! Okay. He is a man. He can wear a dress–
LIZ LANDERS: Congresswoman–
REP. NANCY MACE: He can call himself as pronouns, can be she or her. But he doesn’t belong in a women’s restroom, period!
LIZ LANDERS: Are you suggesting that the representative-elect McBride poses some kind of danger to you and other women in Congress?
REP. NANCY MACE: Absolutely! Absolutely! One hundred percent. This is an assault on women, a man being a biological man, a man with a penis, male genitalia – being in a women’s locker room is an assault on women. And so the question is, do I have rights as a woman or not?
And I’m not going to allow the media or Congress to strip away women’s rights for one half of one percent of people out there. That more than likely, he’s got a mental mental illness and this is why he’s doing this.
He should not be forcing his private parts into women’s private spaces. I’m absolutely a no, hard pass on this. I’m going to fight it every step of the way.
LIZ LANDERS: Are you diagnosing, right now, an incoming member of Congress with a mental illness? I’m not sure how you would know that.
REP. NANCY MACE: I am absolutely diagnosing anyone who cross-dresses with a mental illness. And in fact, by the way, I’m getting death threats from men dressed up as women who want to kill me because I don’t want penises in women’s bathroom.
Mace, of course, has not provided any proof of any such death threats, but that’s a common refrain from culture warriors seeking to limit the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
In reality, the interview meltdown was simply an extension of the absolute full-blown crusade she’s undertaken, demanding privileged votes and even theatrically going to the women’s restroom in the House and pasting a hand-written sign with the word “biological” in all-caps above the “Women” sign on the door.
For her part, McBride has been calm about the entire saga, and hopes to see it blow over soon and get to work on solving issues that actually affect Americans — like the jobs that Rep. Mace’s constituents are about to lose at Boeing.
