Los Angeles Lesbian Is Sad Because She’s Been Disowned by Her Friends for Voting Trump

"Leopards Ate My Face" lesbians? Ouch.

Fox 11, the local news affiliate out of Los Angeles, reported on Thursday that a San Fernando valley resident was experiencing serious blowback from her 2024 vote for Donald Trump as president.

That’s not necessarily news; we’ve been reporting on stories like this since shortly after Election Day. Some people regret their votes, and some are just angry that their friends and family have voiced their disappointment.

Self-described “highly lesbian, highly Zionist, and highly American” Tanya Tsikanovsky actually says she used to be a Democrat, and that she was once the same kind of friend. She told Fox 11, “I was absolutely that person who would say if you’re a Trump supporter, I don’t want you in my life. I can say I regret that.”

I’ll bet she does. I’m not so sure she was a very strong Democrat, however. In fact, it seems like she’s a LOT like Republicans, in that they vote only with themselves in mind. She agrees with Trump’s border and economic policies, but she says it was pro-Palestinian protesters that ultimately swayed her to the right.

Now, her stance on Israel may be the thing that most closely resembles the Democratic platform. That’s the ironic thing. Democrats by and large support Israel, and in fact, Kamala Harris lost supporters because she wasn’t pro-Palestinian enough. Tsikanovsky wasn’t voting for protesters, though.

She told Fox “Israel [changed my mind]. I am a Jew, and what was happening on campuses was appalling. They should have sent in the National Guard as soon as Jewish students were being blocked on campuses.”

But Zionism is not a religious position, and has nothing to do with Judaism. Joe Biden himself told supporters at a campaign reception, “I got in trouble many times for saying you don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist, and I am a Zionist. I make no apologies for that. That’s a reality.”

Tsikanovsky told the news outlet about the reaction in her social circles to her support of Trump:

I definitely feel like I’m on an island alone. The queer people have turned their backs on me, and I’m queer, so it’s very painful.

Ever since I publicly said I was voting for Trump, I am no longer welcome in the social spheres they provide. If there was a birthday party I was invited to, I’m no longer able to attend. I think it’s disgusting someone can push me out of something [like this].

They liked me 2 weeks ago, and now they don’t, just because I voted for someone. I want to say I echo their pain, [and] I understand their fear. [However], I was a lesbian under the Trump presidency before and my rights haven’t changed.

I’m not all of a sudden anti-gay now because I voted for Trump. I want to bring humanity to this. The only way we can come together is if we sit together and have hard talks.

I’ll bet she’s also not “all of a sudden” pro-rape, either, but she DID vote for a guy who was adjudicated a sex offender.

But this has been the common theme among all of the people complaining about the loss of friends and family over their Trump votes. No, they may not actively hate all the people that Trump does, but they do by proxy when they vote for him.

I know plenty of people who actually were better off (financially) under Trump, and didn’t face any marginalization themselves from his policies, but who voted for Kamala anyway — just because they were voting on behalf of the marginalized, rather than in pursuit of their own self-interests.

But that’s what these people don’t get: Their differences with their friends aren’t political. It’s not political to be anti-LGBTQ, or racist, or a sex offender. It’s morally wrong. Tanya doesn’t disagree on politics with her friends or the Democratic Party. Her morals don’t align with theirs.

You want proof?

Don’t let the Door hit you, where there good lord split you.

It is 100% ok to chase these people out of #LGBTQIA+ Spaces.

Let the Leopards eat their Faces.

if being gay became illegal, these people WILL sell you out.

Do not treat them as friends or allies.

She really said “send the National Guard to campuses”…. someone should force her to read up the entire history of Vietnam War protests, particularly Kent State.

Tanya is getting zero sympathy from the internet, either. She lost her friends, she lost her social media followers, and she has a big sad, all because she got mad at protesters that the Democrats didn’t like either.

Somehow that seems DUMBER than the Muslims who were mad at Kamala for not being more pro-Palestine. Go figure.
