It turns out that Trump voters aren’t quite getting everything they’d hoped for out of their Dear Leader. We’ve already seen the people whose faces have been proverbially eaten by leopards — people who didn’t understand that the Obamacare they wanted to get rid of was the same as the Affordable Care Act that saved their life. The same folks who used to say “Get your government hands off my Social Security” without knowing that the Social Security Act didn’t just get created out of thin air.

They’re finding out that the man who trims their lawn is almost certainly going to be deported, even though he has temporary legal status. They’re finding out that their niece died from an ectopic pregnancy because abortion was banned without exceptions in her state.

I was already finding it hard to sympathize with these folks, because honestly, Trump mostly told everyone out loud that he intended for all of this to happen. Most of these people were just too excited to vote for a guy who’s going to force schools to teach the Bible in history class to notice that he was going to screw up a lot more.

You know who gets ZERO sympathy from me, though?

There is actually a subsection of Trumpers who are furious that Trump isn’t going far enough, and they have the audacity to call him out for it. After Donald Trump began announcing his picks, many MAGA voters were baffled at the fact that he didn’t pick nothing but weirdo conspiracy theorists like themselves.

Last Friday, Trump made his usual Truth Social announcement about his newest nominee, this time for Surgeon General. He named Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, who IS a real doctor, but also a Fox News contributor on medical subjects.

Of course, that second part means that Trump fans will have been familiar with her before — other than Newsmax, OAN, and RSBN, Fox News is these people’s go-to for information. And it turns out that Dr. Nesheiwat hasn’t had quite enough glasses of the proverbial Kook-Aid:

“Dear President Trump, many of us…MANY of us are very disheartened and upset about this pick -this doctor has been a major advocate for pushing Covid vaccines upon people which are being proven cause much harm,” said one Truth Social Trumper. “She also was a big advocate of masking and other terrible Covid policies please don’t let this happen! Sincerely -your base.”

Oh. Well, I suppose President Ivermectin should have seen this coming, but I guess he figured the good doctor being a Fox talking head would be enough. Ironically, it seemed a lot more like Trump was trying to kill his followers when he publicly mused about the consumption or injection of disinfectants as a remedy for the dreaded COVID virus.

Trying to change the subject, Trump then went into sales mode again, this time hawking his new book. “Now it’s time to SAVE AMERICA! Only one Book captures the magic we had, and will soon have again,” he declared. “Get my newest book — SAVE AMERICA!”

It didn’t stop the haters.

In a comment on his sales pitch, one user went straight back to the Surgeon General nominee: “President Trump you need the current Surgeon General of Florida as the USA Surgeon General not the globalist pro deep state lady you nominated.”

Yikes. Strike two, Mr. Prez. More comments rolled in. “Bad pick for surgeon general. Are you trying to kill us all with jabs? Tell her to get lost.” It began to cascade. Users picked up where they left off on Pam Bondi, Trump’s pick for Attorney General. Many people believe that Trump intended to nominate Bondi from the beginning, but she was such a bad nominee that he needed to pave the way to acceptance with the truly unthinkable Matt Gaetz first. Some of the responses?

• We cannot have an anti second amendment attorney general.
• Trump please do not put this communist in office
• PLEASE change Pam Bondi your new attorney general she is super anti-gun she has a horrible history being anti-gun that’s all she focuses on RINO and there’s a bunch of compromised pictures of her and BAD history, there’s have to be someone else this is very depressing!!!

As you can see, Trump’s faithful are neither patient nor very smart. Even the guy who bravely called out the fact that JD Vance has been conspicuously absent since the election wound up praising Elon Musk instead.

What has happened to JD Vance? He’s nowhere to be seen or heard. Doesn’t seem right since he is part of the winning team…Trump/Vance. He did a great deal toward winning the White House. It appears (as being reported on various new sources) that he is being pushed aside because of Musk. Musk is fantastic and I’m really glad he is included in the new administration, but JD Vance is our VP Elect and potentially (in 4 yrs) our president. So again, where is JD Vance?

Yeah, Donnie… Where IS that guy? I think he’s probably already plotting his Caesar moment.
