Are Donald and Melania on the Outs? Trump Posts Photo That Sparks Rumors That They May Be Headed for a Split

With any other couple, this would be a red flag.

What is it about the relationship between Donald and Melania Trump that causes the public to constantly question their level of commitment to each other? Well, there’s the obvious: There’s absolutely nothing likeable about Donald, and very little that is about Melania, either. It could just be a simple observation that they don’t like each other.

But they’re no ordinary couple. They have plenty of reasons to stay together. She wants his money and power, and he wants a trophy wife. Neither of them would have what they wanted without each other.

Still, the rumors persist, and one big reason is that they’re just not together very much at all. Whether it’s him glad-handing foreign leaders and rich businessmen at parties she’s not invited to, or her just not bothering to show up at events either during his campaign or during his many court appearances, it’s a wonder you ever get a picture of the two of them together.

And nothing changed over the holidays. The Trumps put out what looked like a pretty standard holiday greeting on social media, of course. Over on Instagram, the president-elect’s official account posted a pretty nice picture of the two of them, making sure to say “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays” or any of that woke nonsense.

But if you’ve been paying attention to our articles here at Political Flare, you’ll probably notice what’s wrong with the picture at a mere glance. Donald Trump just appeared in public with much different hair than that.

That’s right: The Trumps’ 2024 holiday greeting is a recycled picture. It turns out, actually, that it’s from 2018. So why use a photo from 6 years ago? Many on the internet seem to think it’s a bad sign for the couple’s relationship.

Sure, Trump’s got a very busy schedule during the transition period before he’s inaugurated. But who can’t take a few minutes to stop and do a very simple, very quick thing like get their picture taken? Especially for the all-important Christmas greeting.

We’re not mistaken about it being an old picture, either. Prominent social media posters “Patriot Takes” uploaded a side-by-side comparison with the original from 2018:

And actually, I may be in the wrong myself as to who exactly didn’t feel like doing a new Christmas photo. After all, we’ve all seen the quote from Melania about the chore of decorating the White House for the big holiday that the nation watches the president and his family celebrate.

“I’m working … my a*s off on the Christmas stuff, that you know, who gives a f*ck about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”

I guess it could be that Melania should just be wearing that “I Don’t Really Care Do U?” jacket as a uniform these days. She has to be completely over this whole First Lady thing by now. She just wanted to be pretty and rich, and instead she’s married to the lunatic who wants to take over Canada.

Either way, the internet was not kind:

One user even suggested an update to the photo to make it more current and reflective of Trump’s REAL most important relationship:

Regardless of whether or not the power couple has a relationship on the rocks, it’s depressing to know we get to look forward to updated Christmas pictures for four more years of at least Donald in the White House. And nobody wants that for Christmas.

But the really depressing part of all of it is that Trump’s biggest fans, his MAGA faithful, will see it as a heartwarming Christmas message. What it really represents is Donald going through the motions of trying to look like a normal president.
