In today’s episode of WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW, Maine resident Steven Righini is reported by CBS to have been involved in a police shootout at his home that resulted in the death of a police K9 and Righini himself.

In the very, very disturbing video below, you can see the record of Righini’s livestream during the incident in Portage Lake, Maine. Righini describes what led to the shootout and the circumstances surrounding it, which he blames on Democrats, abortion, COVID vaccines, and a number of other things.

The transcript is nearly as disturbing as the actual video:

I’m here, my name is Steven Righini. I am a resident of Maine, and I had the cops called on me, a SWAT team showed up, and I am now engaged in a shootout.

My state has been the number one abortion and gay rights state in the entire country, and I have been segregated [sic] against for my beliefs.

Now they’re trying to arrest me, simply because I do not believe in gay rights and abortion, which is the number one state of Maine right now, that’s what they do, they’re an abortion mill.

So I’m here, I’m in a shootout with authorities who are protecting the rights of doctors to murder babies, and they are protecting the rights of children to be ripped out of the womb and killed.

I’m here with my baby daughter, who they’re also trying to take away, and I assure you that I am not the aggressor here. They tried to arrest me, they tried to taze me, they’re trying to make me a criminal. They are trying to get me in trouble. They are trying to take me to jail for a long time for getting in an argument with my wife, which was a simple argument. I’ve spoke with her since. I love my wife. I love my daughter. I’m so grateful for all God has blessed me with.

It should be noted that we’re more than a minute into the video before Righini even mentions the domestic violence call that actually sparked the standoff. The police were not there, of course, because of his political beliefs. They were there because his wife was in fear and called them to have him arrested.

When he resisted, that’s when the shootout began.

Maine CBS affiliate WGME reports:

Maine State Police and the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to 20 Ranger Street in Portage Lake for a report of a domestic dispute between a woman and 29-year-old Steven Righini. The woman reported Righini had been fighting with her and pushed her into the wall.

When the troopers and deputies arrived, police say the woman was out of the home and Righini was inside with their 4-week-old infant. Police say troopers and deputies tried to take Righini into custody, but he resisted.

Righini reportedly pulled a gun from his waistband and shot at the officers as he ran back into his home.

According to police, as the deputies and troopers tried to back out of the driveway, Righini then grabbed another firearm and fired at the retreating cruisers, hitting Deputy Shane Campbell in the shoulder. Deputy Campbell was taken to Northern Light Hospital in Presque Isle for treatment and was later released.

Police tried to negotiate for several hours with the 29-year-old, but made no headway. Around 8 PM, police deployed their Belgian Malinois, Preacher, to apprehend Righini.

The suspect shot the dog in the abdomen, just before two troopers shot the suspect dead at the scene. The infant daughter of the suspect was not injured and was returned to her mother after the incident was over and all danger had passed.

“I’m backed into a corner with my political beliefs,” Righini says in the video, though it’s not clear why his beliefs have become an issue during what was clearly a domestic violence call. Police has no foreknowledge of Righini’s political stances or beliefs, nor would they have entered into consideration for any reason.

“My entire life has been just struggling for existence, fighting Democrats and trying to stand up for my country,” he says in the tense scene. “Let me ask you, if you’re a law enforcement officer, why do you support the COVID vaccines? Why do you support abortion? Why do you support what isn’t morally right?”

He goes on to list illegal immigrants and pedophiles among his other grievances.

Righini, of course, had no way of knowing what the officers’ views on any of those things were. They were only there to resolve the call they got from his wife.

I’ll put a requisite content warning here, because that’s the responsible thing to do. This video is very real and immediately precedes the man’s death, which is not shown in the video.

This is almost certainly a direct result of violent, brainwashed victims of Donald Trump being led to believe that they have a duty to “protect America” from the liberal values that Donald Trump constantly rails against.
