Elon Musk Posts Ominous Threat After Maxine Waters Suggests Melania Trump Should Be Deported
In the latest episode of “Political Figures Say the Darndest Things,” Representative Maxine Waters took a jab at Melania Trump during an anti-Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) rally in Los Angeles. Waters questioned Melania’s immigration status, suggesting that Donald Trump should consider deporting his own wife. Yes, you read that correctly.
Waters, never one to shy away from controversy, told the crowd that if Trump is so keen on scrutinizing birthright citizenship, perhaps he should start with Melania. She implied that Melania’s parents’ immigration status might be questionable, saying, “We don’t know whether or not her parents were documented.” However, a quick fact-check reveals that Melania’s parents became U.S. citizens in 2018 through legal channels.
Now, enter Elon Musk, the tech mogul and, apparently, part-time political commentator. Musk took to his platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), to respond to Waters’ remarks. He ominously posted, “At some point, the many crimes of Maxine Waters will catch up to her.” It’s unclear which “crimes” Musk is referring to, but subtlety has never been his strong suit.

This isn’t the first time Waters has been in the spotlight for her outspoken criticism of the Trump administration. She has a history of fiery speeches and has previously encouraged public confrontations with Trump officials. However, her recent comments about Melania have drawn criticism from various quarters, with many pointing out the inaccuracy of her statements regarding the First Lady’s immigration status.
As for Melania, she has largely remained silent on political matters, focusing instead on her initiatives as First Lady. It’s unlikely she’ll respond to Waters’ comments, as engaging in public spats doesn’t seem to be her style.
Melania Trump’s immigration history is a bit shady, and there are questions over whether she broke immigration laws by working in the U.S. before obtaining the proper visa, which would be a crime. What would clear all this up is if Trump would have that press conference about Melania’s immigration status like he promised nearly 10 years ago.
In the grand scheme of things, this incident serves as yet another reminder of the charged political climate we’re living in. With public figures exchanging barbs and tech billionaires chiming in, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to separate politics from entertainment. Perhaps it’s time for everyone to take a deep breath and remember the importance of civil discourse. Or at the very least, fact-check before making bold claims.
Really?
