Trump Explodes in Late-Night Tweet Calling for Nancy Pelosi to Be Impeached for Treason
Donald Trump spent Sunday watching TV and rage tweeting from the White House, and capped off the weekend by calling for the impeachment of Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff.
For the record, members of congress can not be impeached. They can expelled, but not impeached. Impeachment is for the President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States.
Trump tweeted, “Nancy Pelosi knew of all of the many Shifty Adam Schiff lies and massive frauds perpetrated upon Congress and the American people, in the form of a fraudulent speech knowingly delivered as a ruthless con, and the illegal meetings with a highly partisan “Whistleblower” & lawyer…”
Then he continued, “….This makes Nervous Nancy every bit as guilty as Liddle’ Adam Schiff for High Crimes and Misdemeanors, and even Treason. I guess that means that they, along with all of those that evilly “Colluded” with them, must all be immediately Impeached!”
LOL

Trump has been fixated on comments Schiff gave last week in which he paraphrased the president’s call with the president of Ukraine. The president also claimed in his latest tweets that Schiff’s meeting with the whistleblower were “illegal,” though it’s unclear how, because Schiff never met with the whistleblower.
The CIA officer who filed the whistleblower complaint (legally) went to a committee aide for advice on how to proceed with his allegations, and was told (legally) to seek an attorney.
Twitter was shocked, but not surprised:
The President of the United States suggests that the Speaker of the House is guilty of treason. https://t.co/F1Z0ozm0XH

haha of course he’s accusing Nancy Pelosi of treason because what else would he do https://t.co/aq51eHcJcY

I am not proud to say that the President of the United States is obviously insane. Obviously so. A nut job. Certifiable. Will anyone admit that they stood by him and supported him 5 years from now? Not many. So why not take that stand now? https://t.co/tZbK0DX3T0

This is unhinged.
The president is baselessly accusing the Speaker of the House of LITERAL TREASON.
Trump's presidency would be 100x better if he'd deleted Twitter day one and actually filtered himself. https://t.co/rHbAv0HKM9

Is there anyone out there who could, sincerely & w/a straight face, argue that the person who wrote this tweet (like countless tweets before it) is fit to be the head of *anything,* let alone the United States? I don't envy historians who'll have to explain this. https://t.co/Jv86TS0tt8
