Donald Trump Is Reportedly ‘Too Afraid’ To Visit Troops Overseas
According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump has been telling advisers that he is considering visiting U.S. troops in combat zones overseas amid growing criticism for not yet doing so.
According to WashPo, Trump has in recent weeks begun telling advisers that a trip might need to happen. But plans to visit the troops in Iraq or Afghanistan are not concrete, the Post reported, citing several advisers to Trump.
Trump isn’t expected to visit the troops during his Thanksgiving break, which he will instead spend at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
The president has faced criticism from some in the military community for not visiting troops overseas, which has previously been a tradition for American presidents.
Trump said Sunday during an interview with Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” that he hasn’t made a visit because he has had an “unbelievable busy” schedule but added that he would ultimately visit.

“I’ve had an unbelievable busy schedule and I will be doing it. On top of which you have these phony witch hunts. On top of which — I mean, we’ve just been very busy. But I will be doing that,” he said.
The Post reported that Trump has cited security concerns, long flights and his opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as reasons he hasn’t visited.
One former senior White House official told the Post Trump has fears about going.
“He’s never been interested in going,” the unidentified official said. “He’s afraid of those situations. He’s afraid people want to kill him.”
Twitter had some thoughts:
He doesn’t support The Fallen because of rain.
He doesn’t support our troops because of location.
He doesn’t support a Navy Seal because they back Hillary.
He backs Putin.
He backs Duterte.
He backs Kim Jong-Un.— del @blugardenia ???? (@blugardenia) November 20, 2018
It’s not complicated, it’s simple. He has no empathy, he only uses the military to prop himself up, period.

The military is 100% a political pawn for him. Deploy them to the border for the “caravan invasion,” but won’t visit them abroad because he doesn’t want to be associate with costly wars. Bold leadership.

look – let's make these easy – no need to debate or dive into why he isn't doing it: He is simply a self absorbed baby who never really want the full responsibility of being President.

The military is nothing more than political prop when he wants to go after NFL or his phony caravan. He has zero respect for them.@realDonaldTrump

Is it really going to boost anyone’s morale to see him? Your country is way past the point where him actually behaving like a president should for a few moments would make up for all the times he’s shown how utterly incapable of that he is.
