Trump Explodes In Monday Morning Tweets, ‘Democrats Can’t Find a Smocking Gun Tying the Trump Campaign to Russia’
Donald Trump is starting the week off with yet another angry tirade, at least judging by his early Monday morning tweet that has been part of a continued effort to undermine the ongoing investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his debasing of former FBI Director James Comey’s private testimony to House Judiciary and House Oversight Committees.
In what appears to be a quote from a Fox & Friends segment that aired Monday morning, Trump wrote “No Smocking (sic) Gun…No Collusion.” The apparent typo has not yet been addressed unless he was referring to “smocking” which is a decoration on a garment created by gathering a section of the material into tight pleats and holding them together with parallel stitches in an ornamental pattern.
“Democrats can’t find a Smocking Gun tying the Trump campaign to Russia after James Comey’s testimony. No Smocking Gun…No Collusion.” @FoxNews That’s because there was NO COLLUSION. So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution,…

Then he followed up with:
….which it was not (but even if it was, it is only a CIVIL CASE, like Obama’s – but it was done correctly by a lawyer and there would not even be a fine. Lawyer’s liability if he made a mistake, not me). Cohen just trying to get his sentence reduced. WITCH HUNT!

Trump also seemed to blame Cohen for any mistake made related to the payment. “Lawyer’s liability if he made a mistake, not me,” he wrote.
While Trump and his supporters have said the payments should be seen as a civil case, others have argued that Obama’s was a civil case because it was closer to a paperwork error. In contrast, prosecutors say they have evidence that Trump and Cohen were actively trying to dodge campaign finance laws.
Twitter quickly called Trump out:
The "simple private transaction" was paying off women during a presidential election campaign to hide his affairs with them. https://t.co/c04BENk2x0

How is it that you can clown yourself not once but twice with the same spelling error? https://t.co/IellQ3cvvn

Imagine supporting a President who types the phrase "smocking gun," twice.
Imagine supporting a President who Tweets all day and night long. Then again, imagine supporting a President who said he could grab women by the genitalia.
You'd have to be really stupid to do that. https://t.co/cpGPWaV3XK

Maybe, and this is just a suggestion that I hope you ignore, stop listening to Fox News and start listening to actual professions. Also, maybe find yourself an actual professional lawyer. Looks like you're going to need one. https://t.co/v0SUkWA1Tu

He did it twice. He legit thinks "Smocking Gun" is the way you spell it. https://t.co/ZVEtghwG1u

It still baffles me that "evangelicals" who blasted @BillClinton for getting a blowjob have no problem with this guy cheating on his pregnant wife with a porn star and then paying her to keep quiet. https://t.co/Fo88dqCEps
