Trump Announces That He Can’t Be Impeached Because He Won ‘Perhaps the Greatest Election of All Time!’
Donald Trump slammed impeachment talk among some Democrats, saying they couldn’t impeach “the most popular Republican in party history.”
In the first of two early-morning tweets on the topic Friday, Trump accused Democrats of wanting to impeach him because they believe they won’t defeat him at the polls in 2020.
“They only want to impeach me because they know they can’t win in 2020, too much success!” Trump wrote.
As I have stated many times, if the Democrats take over the House or Senate, there will be disruption to the Financial Markets. We won the Senate, they won the House. Things will settle down. They only want to impeach me because they know they can’t win in 2020, too much success!

The president followed up by citing his high approval rating within the Republican party (while not mentioning his significantly lower numbers with Democrats and Independents) as a reason he shouldn’t be impeached.

“How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong (no Collusion with Russia, it was the Dems that Colluded), had the most successful first two years of any president, and is the most popular Republican in party history 93%?” Trump wrote.

California Rep. Brad Sherman on Thursday said he planned to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump.
“There is no reason it shouldn’t be before the Congress,” Sherman said. “Every day, Donald Trump shows that leaving the White House would be good for our country.”
Newly sworn in Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib called for Trump to be impeached just hours after she was sworn into office, telling a crowd of supporters, “We’re going to go in and impeach the mothef—er.”
Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday that she does not intend to seek grounds for impeachment unless it’s “clearly bipartisan.”
“The facts will indicate a path and I don’t think we should impeach a president for any political reason, but I don’t think we can ignore any behavior that requires attention and that was all based on the facts,” Pelosi said.
Twitter had some thoughts:
Someone remind this guy Nixon won 49/50 states. Only to be impeached 18 months later.

You lost the popular vote. How is that “the Greatest Election of All Time”?

How do you impeach a president who lost the popular vote by 3M, whose EC win ranks 48 out of 56 (with help from Putin), has done nothing in 2 years but break stuff & add 2T to the national debt, & whose net approval has been <0 the whole time? I guess we'll find out, won't we? ????

How do you impeach a president who has pulled off perhaps the greatest election fraud of all time, done everything wrong (incl. Collusion with Russia), had the most dysfunctional first two years of any president, and is the least popular President in history 38%? Just do it! pic.twitter.com/qxLYzzOEwW

This is hilarious, literally sounds like a 17yo sociopath trying to convince his parents he's doing well in school before they see the grades. Thanks to you Donald holding office as President is no longer as impressive as it once was, you've set an all time low bar of standards!
