Trump Just Tweeted Meme of Him Waving Goodbye to Robert Mueller, ‘CASE CLOSED!’
Donald Trump was apparently unsatisfied with how he left things with his White House press scrum this morning, because he attacked Special Counsel Robert Mueller again on his way to Colorado.
In his latest tweet, Trump complained that Mueller was appointed to the position of special counsel after visiting him at the White House, supposedly because he wanted to lead the FBI.
This comes after former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly claimed that the president called him last night and said Mueller cancelling his membership with one of Trump’s golf clubs constitutes a conflict of interest.
Robert Mueller came to the Oval Office (along with other potential candidates) seeking to be named the Director of the FBI. He had already been in that position for 12 years, I told him NO. The next day he was named Special Counsel – A total Conflict of Interest. NICE!

But according to the Mueller report, former White House senior adviser Steve Bannon told investigators that Mueller was invited to the White House on other business, and that Mueller “did not come in looking for the job.”

"If we had confidence that the president did not clearly commit a crime, we would have said so." — Robert Mueller, yesterday
DOJ's policy of prohibiting the indictment of a sitting president means that charging Trump with a crime "was therefore not an option we could consider." https://t.co/mkVAekKVdm
