2024 Election
As Expected, One-Term Loser Trump Attacks Chris Christie for Admitting There Was No Voter Fraud in 2020
It’s become clear that former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is fed up with Donald Trump’s whining about losing the election. Christie took a veiled potshot at the former president during a speech last weekend, where he told a Republican Jewish Coalition audience that winning campaigns are the ones that “look forward, not backwards,” according to Mediaite.
“If we don’t get it, we’re going to lose,” he told the audience, amid a rather unenthusiastic smattering of applause.
The lack of enthusiasm wasn’t lost on Christie, who then added:
“That deserves applause. Because if we don’t get it we are going to lose. …2020 is over.

As is typical, Trump is in a snit over this, and on Monday he responded that Christie “was just absolutely massacred by his statements that Republicans have to move on from the past, meaning the 2020 election fraud.”
It seems like Trump is going to keep complaining about the so-called “election fraud” for the rest of his life and stepped that up by “Everybody remembers that Chris left New Jersey with a less than 9 percent approval rating — a record low, and they didn’t want to hear this from him!” Trump said in a statement.

Whether you like Christie or not, he’s not wrong here. Trump is clearly unable to handle the truth that he lost. He’ll never accept it and we have to hope that if he decides to run in 2024 as he has been threatening to do, that Republicans will stand up to him. While Christie has spoken out against Trump before, castigating “shameful” Republicans who promoted baseless claims about the 2020 election and putting the blame for Trump’s loss squarely on the former president’s shoulders (where it belongs), let’s hope the GOP listens.
“This election was not stolen … there were no type of irregularities that would have changed the result in one state,” Chris Christie says, adding that Republicans making the claim are trying to score "political points” with people Trump “lied to.” https://t.co/oQYlmOfsHG pic.twitter.com/HcW8pihN1k

Don’t get me wrong here. Christie is not pure as the driven snow. His years as governor were plagued with scandals and his own attempt at running for president ended in failure. If anything, he’s pretty disreputable in a lot of ways. Except here, where he’s correct.
