Donald Trump said in a new interview that he read Robert Mueller’s report, repeatedly claiming that the special counsel’s investigation found “no collusion” and saying it “essentially” ruled there was no obstruction.

Trump also claimed he read the report, which everyone knows on the planet is a lie.

In the interview with ABC News, Trump repeatedly criticized Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s election interference and possible collusion with Trump’s campaign, calling it a witch hunt.

“I have a phony witch hunt, which is just a phony pile of stuff,” Trump said after being asked a question about what he’d say to swing voters on the fence about the 2020 election.

“Mueller comes out — there’s no collusion and essentially a ruling that no obstruction,” he added. “And they keep going with it. You know what? People are angry about it.”

“I don’t think that’s what he found, but we don’t have time for that,” ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos responded before Trump chimed in again, saying, “That is what he found. Excuse me. He found no collusion, and he didn’t find anything having to do with obstruction because they made a ruling based on his findings, and they said no obstruction.”

Stephanopoulos responded by noting that Mueller’s team “laid out evidence of obstruction.”

“Oh, are you trying to say now that there was collusion, even though he said there is no collusion?” Trump replied before later stating, “George, the report said no collusion.”

“Did you read the report?” the ABC News anchor asked, prompting Trump to reply, “Yes, I did, and you should read it, too.”

“I read every word,” Stephanopoulos responded.

Mueller’s report, which was released in April, cited more than 100 contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia but noted that there was insufficient evidence to conclude a conspiracy took place. The report also noted that Mueller was unable to reach a conclusive determination on whether Trump obstructed justice.
