Fox News Host Says That Trump is a ‘Blue Collar Worker’ Who Happens to Have Money

Would you consider Donald Trump, he of the gold toilet, a blue collar worker??

That is exactly the term Fox & Friends anchor Ainsley Earhardt used to describe the President on this mornings show. In fact, according to Earhardt, Trump is like a “blue collar guy with money.”

The host made the comments while discussing the wide appeal Trump and Joe Biden have to American voters. In the latest Democratic polling, Biden holds a sizable lead over Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren.

The explain the popularity of the two men, Earhardt said, “It’s interesting that America is favoring either President Trump or Joe Biden depending on what party you are in.”

Another host, Steve Doocy opined, “that would be quite a contrast. To which Earhardt responded, “They’re both Rust Belt people though. They’re both, like, blue-collar workers that have money, but blue-collar.”

Biden was born and raised in the blue collar town of Scranton, Pennsylvania. His father was somewhat wealthy, though, and worked as a car salesman.

Trump was born and raised in Queens, New York. His Father had achieved significant success in real estate. Eventually, Trump would go on to inherit the family business.

During his campaign for the Republican nomination, Trump said, “I’m the most successful person ever to run. Ross Perot isn’t successful like me. Romney – I have a Gucci store that’s worth more than Romney.”
