Trump Suggests Mexicans Are a Bigger Threat Than Escaped ISIS Prisoners

Donald Trump’s presidency has been horrific…full of catastrophes from the minute he was inaugurated.

But Trump’s current man-made crisis in Syria might be his worst.

Turning our backs on an ally, leaving them at the mercy of Turkish forces, and letting hundreds of ISIS prisoners and sympathizers escape as the region further destabilizes is a complete geopolitical disaster.

But hey, Trump’s not worried though, because according to his infinite wisdom, ISIS has nothing on Mexicans.

In a statement released via Twitter on Monday, Trump said he planned to take action against Turkey for their actions in Syria—actions he greenlit—saying that he would “soon be issuing an Executive Order authorizing the imposition of sanctions against current and former officials of the Government of Turkey and any persons contributing to Turkey’s destabilizing actions in northeast Syria.”

Never mind the fact that Trump basically gave Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the go-ahead. Now that he’s allowed the region to descend into chaos, Trump wants everyone to know that we should forget about ISIS and instead focus on the real threat to America: undocumented immigrants.

“Some people want the United States to protect the 7,000 mile away Border of Syria, presided over by Bashar al-Assad, our enemy. At the same time, Syria and whoever they chose to help, wants naturally to protect the Kurds….” he wrote on Twitter on Monday.

“I would much rather focus on our Southern Border which abuts and is part of the United States of America. And by the way, numbers are way down and the WALL is being built!”

Trump also reiterated his stance that the Kurds helped America and served their purpose. Now that Kurdish forces need us to uphold our end of the bargain, he’s no longer interested and prefers to let them fight their own battles.

“After defeating 100% of the ISIS Caliphate, I largely moved our troops out of Syria. Let Syria and Assad protect the Kurds and fight Turkey for their own land. I said to my Generals, why should we be fighting for Syria…” Trump wrote.

“….and Assad to protect the land of our enemy? Anyone who wants to assist Syria in protecting the Kurds is good with me, whether it is Russia, China, or Napoleon Bonaparte. I hope they all do great, we are 7,000 miles away!”

The idea that we should ignore the threat of ISIS because hey, we’re all the way over in America is absolutely ridiculous. I guess Trump’s never heard of modern transportation. Also, his claim that he defeated “100% of ISIS” is not only untrue, it’s downright ridiculous.

Just when you think Trump can’t get any worse…he does just that.
