Acquittal Does Not Mean Innocent: Conservatives Get Schooled About ‘President O.J.’

Some fantastic trolling being done on Twitter, and it’s admittedly partly rooted in the fact that Mitt Romney has given Democrats a much needed shot in the arm, depriving Trump of a clean sweep.

Perhaps more importantly, denying Trump total control of his party and setting an example as to how other Republican senators might react to bad stuff coming out later down the road..

So the responses have begun, and some are “more perfect” than others. Behold:

You win the internet for today!! Yes, Trump is right there with O.J. as the man who escaped justice because some jurors needed to make a statement (quite frankly, even O.J.’s jury had a more legitimate message to send). These Republican jurors (sans Mitt Romney) sent a shameless message: “We have given up our independence, willingly.”

Meanwhile, enjoy it while it is hot:

Well done. It is very much the first trial I have ever witnessed where a central lawyer is also a central witness, and a juror followed the defendant’s orders to ensure no one heard from those witnesses. We should never forget the very unusual circumstances that had to come together to put on this sham.

The congresswoman agrees;

Republicans are actually well aware that Trump is guilty or they wouldn’t have been so terrified to hear some evidence:

Republicans also know what is coming, and are already terrified. They are forever tied to Trump now:

I honestly doubt they will even act surprised. If the avalanche of evidence comes out, they will spit out something about “knowing there were problems,” and that they “said his behavior was ‘wrong,'” But I doubt they’re good enough actors to fake surprise.

We can “move on” to beating Trump in a day or two, but right now Trump is in a rage about losing one single vote, and I intend to suck every ounce of enjoyment out of it.

“President O.J.”

Peace, y’all
