Trump’s India Press Conference Was Absolutely Shocking: ‘He Is an International Disgrace’

There are only about 4-5 countries with which an economic summit could be as newsworthy as Trump’s trip to India. China, Russia, maybe Japan, and Germany – they maybe rise to this level? This trip mattered, like few others.

And Trump just shit all over himself while in India, as the American president, as only he can do. The world noticed.

Here is the entire package, and we’ll set out the response below, brought to us by a nice summary by Rawstory,

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump took the stage in India for a solo press conference, during which he attacked two Supreme Court justices, lashed out at reporters, claimed that Democrats “loved” film producer and convicted sexual predator Harvey Weinstein, and lied about his motivations for replacing the Director of National Intelligence.

Of course, he also managed to do this at a press conference in which he should’ve kept his damn mouth shut about political issues – he’s representing all of us on the international stage – and should have been respectful of his host nation, and the world, to keep his focus on what the hell he was doing over there.

It used to be a simple rule, all politics stopped at the waters’ edge.

I also want to point out that the demand for the recusal of two Supreme Court justices is his most dangerous demand as president (even if it is not obvious, yet), and we’ve already covered it this morning extensively here at Flare, and I beg you to read it and spread it around.

So we’ll stick with the assessment of this press conference in this piece:

Yep, there it is.

It is also becoming increasingly obvious that he simply isn’t right, whether it is due to cognitive difficulty, neurological disease, medication use, or simply an old unhealthy man worn out by the pressure and schedule, doesn’t matter in the moment.

Yep.

He cannot hold a “press” conference without insulting and blasting at our free press.

I’m not even sure what this means:

Typical.

And so we’ll wrap it up with something that is now just objectively true, at least for anyone outside the Trump cult.

One almost has to laugh. Again, it used to be a strict rule that every president and government official to adhere to the fact that nothing partisan is said internationally – we are Americans on the global scene. It was an easy and obviously beneficial rule that even the shady Republican presidents absolutely followed, indeed presidents wanted, to follow the rule. It ensured some unity among us all, and increased the world’s respect for the United States around the world.

Not with Trump, he can’t not think only about himself – and he’s going to let us know. Disgraceful, and other countries see it.

Peace, y’all
