Nancy Pelosi Just Demolished Trump and Flat-Out Said He’s a Liar with No Class

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is speaking at her weekly press conference Thursday morning, the day after the Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump on two articles of impeachment.

Pelosi and Trump are embroiled in a feud which became more evident during the State of the Union on Tuesday, when the president spurned an handshake offer from Pelosi, and the speaker conspicuously ripped up her copy of the address after Trump concluded his remarks.

Pelosi slammed Trump’s speech, saying the president was “using the Congress of the United States as the backdrop of a reality show.”

“As you know, this week we had the State of the Union. As required by the Constitution of the United States, the president is to submit in writing or in person his statement of the state of the union,” Pelosi said. “What happened instead was the president using the Congress of the United States as the backdrop for a reality show, presenting a state of mind that had no contact with reality whatsoever.”

She also said it was “appalling” that Trump claimed he was protecting coverage for preexisting conditions, given that his administration has supported policies which would cut support for preexisting conditions.

“It was appalling to hear him try to take credit and call what President Obama did a mess that he inherited,” Pelosi said about Trump’s speech, where he insinuated that Obama had caused economic stagnation instead of overseeing economic recovery in light of the Great Recession.

Then Pelosi went there, and said that Trump had no class.

Pelosi said, “I pray hard for Trump because he’s so off the track of our constitution, our values … he really needs our prayers … I do so sincerely & without anguish … I thought what he said with Romney was especially without class.”
