Everyone is Asking the Same Question — Where is Melania, and Why is She Hiding?

Melania Trump has canceled the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, due to concerns about COVID-19, and it has further raised questions as the First Lady has been completely absent from public eye.

After all, during a worldwide crisis such as coronavirus, you would think Melania would be front and center trying to help and alleviate the concerns of her fellow Americans. But nope. She’s done nothing besides releasing a statement about cancelling the Easter egg roll.

Melania’s announcement comes just three days after Donald Trump declared a national emergency due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Easter Egg Roll, which was scheduled for April 14, would have violated social distancing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC defines appropriate “social distancing” as “remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible.”

The First Lady released an official statement regarding the cancellation on Monday.

“The health and safety of all Americans must be the first priority, especially right now,” she said. “I deeply regret this cancellation, but we need to make difficult decisions in the short-term to ensure a healthy country for the long-term.”

The annual Easter Egg Roll is a White House tradition that dates back to 1878 when President Rutherford B. Hayes invited guests to the South Lawn for the holiday. It has since evolved into a day full of activities, which in years past have included not only an egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter Bunny, but also musical performances, book readings, and more.

Its organization is traditionally the purview of the the First Lady, and while this would have marked the Egg Roll’s 142nd year, Melania felt that cancelling the event was necessary. She stated, “During this time, I encourage everyone to listen to state and local officials, and follow CDC guidelines in order to help protect the health and well-being of everyone.”

Let’s be honest, Melania’s heart was never in this to begin with. I am fairly certain her office does all the work, and she gets all the credit. Melania has proven time and time again she is simply not interested in doing the work required to be a proper First Lady.

Also, Melania has been basically in hiding. She did appear for an 8-minute speech at the National PTA Convention last Tuesday, where she failed to even mention coronavirus, despite the fact that the virus was the only thing on the minds of the parents and teachers in attendance.

And now…she is missing. Questions about her whereabouts have gone unanswered.

Apparently she sent a care package to Lindsey Graham, who has quarantined himself after coming into contact with someone with the virus. But again, I can almost guarantee you Melania has NOTHING to do with this. She was probably too busy reading her fashion magazines.

But looking at Twitter, everyone is wondering where the First Lady is, and why is she hiding?
