Barbra Streisand Tears into Trump for 20,000+ Coronavirus Deaths, ‘He’s Unfit to Lead this Nation!’

Who doesn’t love Barbra Streisand? No one I want to be around, and I believed that looongggg before she went to the mat this morning and took Donald Trump to task for his incompetence. Like the star she is, she burned him to cinders, though sadly:

We only wish she could have sung the tweet.

Republicans get tired of celebrities using their voice (who has a better voice than Barbara?) in the political arena, as if any American doesn’t have a First Amendment right to comment on anything they please. But the reason that Republicans get so angry about “Hollywood,” is that they realize the immense power some of these stars wield. When a favored star speaks, someone from the opposite political spectrum might look at something differently.

That power is what made her second tweet of the day double special, because it is even more perceptive – a point that I certainly hadn’t considered:

The irony is that Trump has used this pandemic as justification for “why borders matter,” and why it is critical to keep people from Mexico from getting into the United States and spreading the disease.

Mexico currently has less than 5,000 confirmed cases, or approximately 550,000 less than the United States, in a nation that has a much larger population than people generally think, 128 million. As you can see, the ratios show that – if anything – it would be Americans running across the border to Mexico right now, and the Mexican military patrolling the border keeping people out.

Plus, we LOVE the constant reminder that Mexico isn’t paying for that wall (which isn’t a wall, it’s a fence). How many MAGA heads screamed “Mexico!” when Trump asked who would pay for the wall? Too many. Although we might want to admit, if there was ever a time Mexico might pay for the wall, it’s now – to keep themselves safe!

Just another day, and another (two) reasons to love Barbra Streisand. Now if she would just sing us a song to help us through the day. I might rent “Meet the Fockers” tonight for a good laugh.

She follows a long list of Hollywood celebrities criticizing the president, his family, and his administration during the pandemic.

Actor Michael Rapaport shared a meme saying followers should “never forget” first lady Melania Trump and the president are “a hooker and a con man.”
