UPDATED: Mike Pence BUSTED US by a Hot Mic Delivering Empty PPE Boxes ‘For the Cameras’

Apparently the administration can do fake correctly, they just need to do a better job letting people know: Mike Pence was in on the joke, in other words – it was intended by Mike Pence to be a joke. It just wasn’t intended well enough for all of us – most of us – to be able to tell right away:

According to the Washington Post fact checker, this story was FALSE. We would entirely retract it but that wouldn’t be fair – we want to own our mistakes up front and have people see that we’ll back up what we get wrong. We only wish the administration and some other media would follow similar responsible and humble practices.

Can this administration even FAKE caring correctly?

NO!

Vice President Mike Pence, who is purportedly in charge of the Coronavirus Task Force that may or may not be in the process of being disbanded, was caught on a hot microphone asking if he could carry boxes of what looked like PPE out of a van and inside the doors into a nursing home, “for the cameras.”

Jimmy Kimmel of ABC’s late-night talk show got the tape and mocked Pence mercilessly. We have transcripts from Rawstory:

“Here he is, with no mask on, wheeling boxes of PPEs into a health care center, and doing his best to lift them,” Kimmel said, as he narrated the video for the national audience. “What a hero.”

“And since it was going so well, and also because he didn’t realize he had a mic on, Magic Mike decided to keep it going.”

Someone walked up to Pence and noted that the boxes were empty. Pence didn’t seem to think that was a problem at all and noted that he could carry the empty ones, “just for the camera.”

Atta boy, Mike!

“Mike Pence pretending to carry empty PPEs into a nursing home is the perfect metaphor as to who he is as a man and what he’s doing for the country. A big box of nothing delivering another box of nothing.
