PBS’ Yamiche Alcindor Grills McEnany on Trump’s Scarborough Tweets and Kayleigh Refuses to Answer

There is a developing story building steam throughout the day that came to a head in the White House briefing, where the irreplaceable Yamiche Alcindor directly asked Kayleigh McEnany why Trump would not respect the widower who begged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to remove these tweets and-or ban Trump from Twitter in an open letter this morning. Timothy Klausutis let both Dorsey and Trump know that these hurtful conspiracy theories inflict pain and to please let his wife rest in peace while her family grieves her loss.

As the Washington Post reports:

The widower of a former congressional staff member for Joe Scarborough has asked Twitter chief executive officer Jack Dorsey to delete tweets by President Trump furthering a baseless conspiracy theory about his wife’s death.

“My request is simple: Please delete these tweets,” Timothy J. Klausutis wrote in a letter to Dorsey, seeking his intervention as Trump continues to suggest that Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida who is now an MSNBC host, was responsible for the 2001 death of Lori Klausutis.

The letter quite obviously intended to reach Trump as a message to him, too. Indeed, Twitter answered with a formal apology to Mr. Klausutis for Trump’s tweets.

But Trump didn’t respect the widower’s wish, nor did he show any respect for the request to delete his tweets or crackdown on Trump’s tweeting. Trump sent out two tweets that yet again talked about the need for a cold case, stating he didn’t make up the accusation.

We will not publish Trump’s tweets again, they deserve to be deleted.

So the White House had to know that the question was coming and that it would be difficult to answer. It was so difficult that Kayleigh McEnany – who likes to tell reporters what to ask or what they should report – had no answer at all.

The arrogance and lack of any sort of responsibility or respect is simply stunning. If Trump wants to continue to tweet this bullshit they should be able to stand there and justify it.

It is very difficult to escape one conclusion alone:

We cannot diagnose anything but his behavior fits the malignant narcissistic personality disorder to a “T”.

Given Trump’s response to the letter and Kayleigh’s refusal to answer on behalf of Trump surely gives Twitter all the reason on earth to simply delete reckless Trump tweets and-or put the disclaimer that the claim is a lie, with a link to the truth.

It is deeply saddening, outrageous and so tiresome. Trump’s willingness to crush and hurt people without remorse is deeply disturbing.
