Kayleigh McEnany can always be counted upon to take a situation and make it dumber and much eviler.

Her boss has a problem. He happens to be president of the country and presidents historically try to lead the nation out of situations like this. They try to heal wounds, they try to move the discussion, they act to pacify the situation. Her boss, who happens to be president, sits in his bunker tweeting guttural utterances late in the evening, hiding from a couple hundred protesters, looking increasingly small, increasingly violent, and power-hungry.

While Trump hides, Kayleigh is forced in front of cameras to talk about why Trump is right to hide and how everything he has done to this point has been perfect, more perfect than anyone’s ever conceived. He is more “presidential” than anyone, “believe me.” From Rawstory:

During an appearance on Fox & Friends, McEnany was asked if the president would try to heal the nation with a primetime address from the White House.

“This is the time that we look to our leader,” Fox News host Steve Doocy explained. “We want this to stop. How does the president fix this?”

Steve Doocy can be counted upon to serve up softballs so that Kayleigh can take a big swing and miss because her boss is incapable of doing anything.

“This president has been very clear that we need law and order in this country. He’s taken extraordinary action, talking about activating the National Guard as we saw happen in Minnesota, criminalizing interstate travel that is geared towards inciting violence, making sure that those individuals are prosecuted, labeling Antifa as a domestic terrorist entity.

Right. Imagine Barr and Trump criminalizing the white Trumpers that crossed interstate lines “geared toward inciting violence.” Trump just criminalized being “anti-Trump.”

But Kayleigh was pressed upon whether Trump would speak from the Oval Office.

The president has addressed this repeatedly. The first day he saw this video he addressed the horrific death of George Floyd. He’s addressed the issue of law and order in our streets.

But here’s the thing, Ainsley, a national Oval Office address is not going to stop Antifa. What’s going to stop Antifa is action. And this president is committed to acting on this.

That is not only the dumbest and most insulting answer Kayleigh could have given, it is also indicative of the danger Trump poses to the country. Notice how all protests have now been labeled as nothing but “ANTIFA” and that ANTIFA is a “terrorist organization”? Trump has criminalized the protests brought about by Floyd’s murder.

I suppose it hasn’t occurred to Trump that the “action” people are looking for is a change in policing. But Trump has shown no interest in “acting” in any way but a tyrannical dictator set-upon violence. Ironically, Trump was “outraged” about Floyd’s murder, and yet Trump is cheering on cops to get tougher, ensuring more death, some will be innocent bystanders. It is a crime to be anti-Trump. Right Kayleigh?
