Trump Goes Bonkers and Says that the Media is Committing ‘Slander’ by Calling Him a Racist

Slan·der: The action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation.

Donald Trump wants you to know that the man who tweeted a “White Power” video last week, the man who said that there were “fine people” on “both sides” in Charlottesville, the man who wants to fight to preserve monuments to slave owners and traitors, is actually not a racist, despite the fact he continues to do such damned racist things!

I also want to add that we’re asked to believe a man who is – at the very least – looking like a traitor. He took advantage of our military this weekend as symbolic of our greatness (yes, our ability to kill), during a Fourth of July speech that was nothing more than a campaign speech, and an ugly one at that. At the same time, this is a man who couldn’t be bothered to read an intelligence community brief saying our soldiers had bounties on their head, couldn’t be bothered to demand to know more. He isn’t trying to get to the bottom of it, he’s hoping it goes away. So he “uses” the military to promote himself, but sells them out their very lives when he needs to placate Putin. It just needs repeating at every opportunity.

That same man refuses to allow anyone to consider him a racist and says it is “slander” when the media brings it up.

Not that it matters to Trump, but the media itself, at least not the mainstream media – the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, etcetera, doesn’t come right out and call him a racist. They will note when he does racist things. He can complain all he wants, but that is what happens when a racist does racist things.

As everyone knows, Trump can sue for slander, but truth is the ultimate defense. Seems like he’d run into a bit of trouble.
