Geraldo Rivera Says Trump is Such a ‘Force of Nature’ That Biden Will Struggle Trying to Debate Him

It is getting increasingly difficult, listening to Trump apologists like Geraldo Rivera, especially when you know that they know better.

Yesterday, Geraldo had to nearly lead Donald Trump by the hand throughout an interview. Geraldo had to push back on Trump saying that Biden is “against the Bible,” knowing that Trump was sounding increasingly ridiculous, and he tempered Trump on quite a few other topics,including race relations (where Geraldo went so far as to call Trump a “Civil Rights Advocate”), almost as if Geraldo was a careful minder, rather than journalist.

And yet today, Geraldo is back talking about Trump, rather than talking to Trump, and he’s laying it on really thick.

Just watch this and try not to gag. It’s that bad.

“Vivacity.”

Interesting word, one heretofore used almost exclusively in the description of adolescent girls, but yeah, okay – Geraldo, whatever you say.

Energy? Has he ever met Trump?

Size? We get more president if we buy in bulk? Surely he isn’t talking about fingers again, is he?

This sounds like a man in love, not a man evaluating the prospects for a presidential debate. And, we hate to be the ones to say it, but the object of Geraldo’s fetish here isn’t the person that Geraldo is describing!

Moreover, to the extent that being the world’s biggest asshole helped Trump succeed in his last debates, it only “worked” because many people hated Hillary Clinton more than any other American. No one hates Joe Biden, and so the big bully with a “ton” of energy and “size,” blowing up at Biden, isn’t going to help Trump this time around.

Geraldo actually can do good interviews, we have watched quite a few. But it’s been a long time since Geraldo has been relevant, and he seems intent to make himself less relevant by the day. He’s also embarrassing himself … and us, and would be well-served to stop. Take his man-crush somewhere else.
