Jared Kushner Says 170,000 COVID Deaths is a ‘Success Story’ and People are Enraged
In the always tight and hard-fought race for “second worst person in the White House,” Jared Kushner never gives an inch. He seems to have been born ready to give the American voter yet another reason to loathe his entitled-self. Today, Kushner went on to The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer to answer questions on recent developments. Kushner reminded Americans why he should never have been allowed near power.
First of all, Blitzer asked an obvious question to the man who Vanity Fair reports was nominally in charge of the COVID response behind the scenes, at least back when it was a “blue state” problem (in Jared’s words). Is the Trump administration claiming success even as we pass 170,000 deaths? Yes, says Jared, because we learned a lot and “the president” got equipment moved to people, or something.
Now watch this and try to not throw something.
CNN's Wolf Blitzer: After 170,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus pandemic, would you still suggest that the Trump administration's response has been a success story?

That is not an answer. Indeed, in April Donald Trump told us that it looks like we would “only” lose 60-100K to COVID. That means we’ve lost near double the amount that Trump himself predicted, and most have been lost after that point in time when we “learned a lot.” Plus, we haven’t even hit Labor Day! Incidentally, one of the few things we “learned” is that masks work, but Trump still eschews them.

Kaitlan Collins reports that Kushner responded to a question about Miles Taylor, the former Chief of Staff to DHS, who is out today saying that Trump is terrifyingly dangerous to the United States, that Trump wasn’t interested in possible threats to the United States, only in using DHS to push himself and his political goals. Taylor said that Trump claimed to have “magical authorities” to break the law when DHS administrators said they couldn’t do what Trump was asking, that it was illegal.
Jared Kushner says Miles Taylor "was a nice kid" who worked in the admin for a few years, but said his Biden endorsement makes sense because "when he was working at DHS, no wall was built and the border was wide open…Clearly he wasn't up to the task."https://t.co/JNAoTwm9Jp

Taylor worked for the administration during a GOP House and Senate, and amazing that Jared says that Trump’s “failure” (since Trump was president) is actually due to a “kid” at DHS. Jared also managed to condescend to Taylor despite the fact that Jared is the “kid” who couldn’t qualify for a security clearance and needed daddy to intervene.

He is tight in that race for second.
Twitter was disgusted:
Jared Kushner just said 170,000 dead Americans and 1,000 dying a day is a success story because the economic crisis with looming mass evictions is looking real good in his eyes and the fake peace deal he created as yet another fraud money laundering scheme is great. Lock him up.

This is a failed real estate developer who truly knows nothing about legislation, rule of law and/or public service. The high point of his life previous to assisting his father in national governance was a cameo on 'Gossip Girl.' Why is he talking in front of the White House?

Jared Kushner has about as much charisma and intellect as a piece of stale toast. Why is anyone interviewing him? I don't ever want to hear from this charlatan. Ugh!

Jared Kushner on CNN, just said once again when asked by Wolf Blitzer is he thought that over 170K deaths was still a success, Kushner said yes. I'd hate to see a failure in Kushner's mindset.
